I've been using Ko-Fi for the past month. I use it to link my audience to all of my works, and share works I chose not to use officially, like extra book covers. You don't have to do anything for it, though. I don't know about patreon.

That would be really nice of you. Not sure if mine's actually open for tips or not.

Both main characters are male. Genre: fantasy

It's kind of long and off topic, so I could pm you?

There are better people than me to ask, but, typically, always translating into your mother tongue is a bad way to learn a language. There's a delay, it's distracting and confusing, and there isn't always a perfect translation. If you don't want to always put the character's thoughts in the fantasy …

The first time I moved out, it was into a house right off campus. I shared the house with three roommates. On move-in day, I sat down at the table to eat dinner, only to notice my neighbors, seven or eight of the thirty people that would regularly frequent their house, openly watching me eat. They s…

Thanks for the pointers and notes. I have some magic effects from my banner I can add, but I'll work on a background, and a more eye catching elements.

This game could be really useful. I know my cover's not so good (I really only use it because I need one to publish), but I'd appreciate the critique, so I know what to do for the next one. Anyway: Rating @hannahlaine's cover Creativity and Uniqueness: 4/5. I love the color pallette and the heav…

I'm not looking for an artist right now, but I will be, eventually. Mind if I introduce my story, in case we run into each other again later?

Sorry if this is a question with an obvious answer, but what, exactly, does it mean to pitch your novel to Tapas? That we'll receive marketing help from Tapas, and have the opportunity to lock episodes? Or, are we all here on a trial basis, and accepted novels can stay indefinitely?

I do, but not always. I'm not trained, but I've played with my siblings/parents growing up. I just try to keep it fairly realistic.

I loved trick or treating as a kid, especially the houses that would scare kids (like someone hiding in a pile of leaves to jump out and say "boo.") I also loved decorating the yard, but these days, everyone does trunk or treat, because it's safer. Maybe I'll get to try that this year.

It looks like you've been updating nearly daily for three weeks. Every time you update, you appear on the fresh page, which is where new authors want to be. At this time, this is probably the best thing you can do to get the most views, and therefore subscribers, that you can (short of collaboration…

Oh, thank you! I'll change that right away.

Welcome to Tapas, Good Sir! Like every good online platform, we prefer civility and politeness. Don't antagonize anyone. Not that I think you'd do that, but you should know that the forums are very friendly. You can easily make friends or business partners. Since it's your first day, I recommend…

No problem! I don't mind at all. For the first month, your best bet is to update twice a week: either Thursday night and Friday to get the new author/casual reader crowd, or Friday and Saturday for a shot at the main crowd. Then, back to once a week. But that's just a recommendation. If you think it…

Whatever, I'll do it. Getting subs isn't as easy as talking to other creators. Many see it as an intrusion, and don't want a purely business relationship. Keep doing self promotion if you want, but keep in mind that updating frequently is often the best way to get subs.

It is normal to slowly lose comments, viewership, and engagement. These things are set in cycles, whose mechanisms are largely unknown to us. Or at least, that's what I've heard over and over again on the forums. I'm going through my first low, too. Let's just give it some time. And of course, you'r…

There you go! 100. Or 101 if Youtube was just slow. Best of luck to you!

Then, of course I'll sub back!

Erase: Intriguing, but it's hard to tell if Gab is the main character, or the friends are. It's also a little wordy. Try moving it around a little, like: Classmates reconnect when an accident leaves young Gab in a coma. Can they mend their friendships, or is what's in the past broken forever? Wall…

I don't, but I've always preferred them when reading longer novels, especially when I've stopped reading for a period of time. Please don't feel self-conscious about it.

"You are aware the production and sale of any and all products of witchcraft is strictly prohibited, and punishable by law?" "This isn't witchcraft!" said Faine, indignantly. "And these potions are all on the Governor's list of approved items."
