My MC Genii is a teen male (Siren). High fantasy adventure with a bit of horror, mystery and romance thrown in. Female supporting cast are all strong - probably stronger than he is actually.

Female \o/ It's a Crime noir/ Drama and she's a bit a tomboy, but i tried to not totally take her feminity away.

For the rest i think i'm pretty much at 50% 50% even if we see the guys more often. After all it unfolds during the 20S in the criminal scene.

My upcoming project is a drama/action comic, and my main characters are a younger brother and older sister duo in their 20's. Of the two though, the sister is the more important one to the story. So far the cast is almost even but it's hard to tell sometimes because there's two of 'em that are just enough to be considered as characters, but not enough to drive a particular part of the story.

As a guy myself, I've been having a general lean towards writing female characters since I started writing a few years ago. I don't find a lot of male characters all that interesting creation-wise tbh lol too many of 'em ended up being real straight-forward in personality and backstory for me. It's only a small handful of 'em that become just as complex and compelling as the female characters I've written imo and like.. I dunno if that's a reflection of how I personally see my relationships with people I know in their respective genders, but it's interesting to think about for sure~

Sci-fi and the main character is female! (although their is also a very important male character who could be considered main, but the female character is more 'the main character'

My current giant robot scifi fantasy one, the majority of the main cast team are male. If we call the main cast just the team, it's 6 out of 8. Justified in universe that magic is inherited on the female side women generally have positions of power rather than doing actual hard physical work like our main team

My upcoming one more action fantasy, the main main characters are male but of the more major cast members it's 6:4 female to male.

Me too but I also think that there are many female creators for webtoons compared to creators of printed comics. In germany the female creators are a minority

On Wattpad, like 90% protagonists are female in every genre. You actually have to write a male to be in a minority there

Technically, my focus MC is female, but the other primary POV characters are male (1:3) The side characters tend to be males too, but its closer to 50:50 than the main cast. And currently there is one male villain and one female villain.

My novel is an action novel, with a secondary genre of fantasy.

I have multiple main cracters, but my main main character is male, at least from my perspective. In my comic though, in terms of relevance to the story, more of my charaters are female. I used to only draw girls and since I've made an efoort to draw more boys, but the majority of my ocs are female.

My lead character is female, and out of my four main characters, three are female. The genre is LGBT, so basically I have a pile of lesbians as the main cast.
