Check out my story Pandemonium here: https://tapastic.com/series/Pandemonium
Stagnation, sub drop, like drop, lack of comment, feeling your novel is not going anywhere, feeling it's pointless to write it, feeling unable to see the front page without being jealous of the featured. . . [image]
Hello hello! This thread is a idea I have been thinking of for a while now. I'm not sure if anyone else had the idea but I've been wanting so show my appreciation for some of the creators and people on the site for their qualities. They are some of the people I look up to here on Tapas. Firstly, I…
@DualDragons Thanks for the uplifting words! This was the first thing I read when I woke up this morning, and it made my day. I love this idea for a thread. I would like to show some appreciation to @jensrichard77. He's always got such a positive attitude here on the forums, and brings a lot of …
I'm a hetero-romantic asexual who has been in a happy successful relationship with an allosexual guy for about seven years now, we've been married for the past three years. I might be able to bring something to the discussion in that regards. I didn't even know a person could be asexual until I was …
Hello! My comic has an aroace character. He’s pretty cute. [image] With pride month coming up I thought it would be a good opportunity to answer some of my reader’s relentless questions (webtoon’s fanbase continue to be very into BL with very little understanding of the lgbt+ community, haha!) …
Rococo and art noveau mostly ;oc!! the details man....also honorable mention to Gustav Klimt's golden period...Not really what I'll call the ultimate but these strongly influenced my works after 2016 // [image] [image] [image]
I'll recommend @MaggieW for her technical skills and artistic flair. She made the illustration for my cover as well and I'll be trusting her with another book cover for a BL story that I have in the making
So I personally started my comic series in 2008, and it's still got lots to go. Here's samples of my first chapter in 2008 [image] vs my latest chapter in 2020. [image]
Post your first and latest if you've been working on your series for over a year Lets see the difference.
Sometimes to motivate myself I like to line up the Same angle so I can see there’s been any progress...I think there’s been a little? [image]
[image][image][image][image] 2016-2020 idk if this makes sense but my newer pages feel less............ crusty? to me. i think my characters look like they occupy space now.
First page when I started the comic:

New first page now that I'm updating old art:

@Zyephen: Your art started beautiful and has only gotten better! Excellent lighting
@spadedigsbutts: Your progress is incredible! There's so much life and dynamicism in your matured art, …
I think my comic's style development and progression is one of the few things I'm genuinely proud of. 2015: [image] [image] [image] 2019/2020: [image] [image] [image] [image]
For me it was mostly his hair and head shape. [image] [image]
Hm, a professional piercer usually won't do it I guess, they think it's dangerous and unethical, like, would you pierce a 6 y.o. child tongue? Now you won't. Then why would you do it with ears? But if they know the parent would do it anyway unprofessionally, like at home or with a piercing pistol, I…

I made some fanart for one of my favorite comics on Tapas Say hello to Dan and Adrien from Pandemonium [:heart_03:]
I'll jump on this train. And a big thanks to @ratique for cleaning things up. I have two I'd like to add here! The first is a series that has been running for a while now (so lots of episodes to binge) and it's GL. For the Light is centered around a world where multiple gods and kingdoms exist. …
A background I rushed for a portfolio submission [image]
[image] There was no reason for me to draw this big ol' mess, but I couldn't seem to focus on anything else until I got it out of my system!
Part of the night's doodle of Yazad~ [image]
[image] It's not perfect, but I'm still pretty proud of this piece. Also it's my first personal illustration of the new year! Technically I started it in December, but didn't have time to work on it again till today.
The last thing I finished was this commission! [image]
Some free sketches for someone on Toyhouse o/ they kinda help with art block nfdhgfd [image] [image]

Great. But it would be even more great to see the links, too.
We have a thread for work we've done, how about one for appreciating the work others have done for us? Whether it was paid for (commission), fanart or trades etc, show off their work of your characters /world and tell us who they are/ or where we can find them.

Hey! It might be helpful to artists if you give a little bit more information. Maybe let us know what your budget is, how detailed you would like it and what you want depicted on the cover so that they have a better idea of what you would want. I hope you find someone quickly! Good luck!!!
If it's finished, then no. It's all good! I mean, as a reader who have read something from the start to finish, that means I enjoyed the work. If the author says at the end that they are working on new stories, then I would definitely look forward to it!
