What happened to 2d animated films

Likely it's cheaper, quicker, and easier to make a 3D animated film than a 2D animated film, especially when it comes to Disney because when they did 2D films they were all Frame-by-Frame hand drawn. It sucks because I loved their 2D hand drawn films
