What do you look for in the first episode of a comic that will keep you coming back for more? Art? Story? Cliffhanger?
Ya, it definitely seems to be a personal preference and just how you work as a creator.

So seems like you've seen the best of both worlds. I could see getting the pages feeling a little stale the more you look at them. And then you have more time to be critical about them.
