This is a great idea!

What are your favorite genres to read?
Sci-fi, fantasy, and some romance. (Though I typically prefer romance encompassed within a broader story, rather than being the sole focus.)

Who/What are some of your inspirations (art/storytelling)?
The biggest and newest one at the moment, comic-wise, is Sigeel. Her work is lovely, she seems lovely, and I'm really looking forward to re-reading her comics with an eye for analysing the art, design, and pacing to learn as much as I can.

Other than that, my inspirations are very broad. Avatar The Last Airbender, She-ra, and The Dragon Prince are big inspirations, stylistically. Full Metal Alchemist is a big one, tonally. Neil Gaiman's 'Sandman' was a large early inspiration for what the medium of comics could achieve. And Phillip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' trilogy was enormous in informing the philosophical underpinnings of my worldbuilding and magic system.

What is your goal as a creator (here)?
I want to build an audience interested in my stories, characters and universe. Ideally, I'd love to reach a point where I have enough supporters and patrons that I can focus all my time and attention on my own work. Realistically, that's extremely hard to achieve, so I recognise I'll need to supplement my own projects with paid work for the foreseeable future. At the moment, I do that by teaching two days a week. But eventually, I'd like to freelance as a comic illustrator for publishing houses such as Scholastic. Making my own comic will refine my skills in that regard, and give me solid portfolio pieces to attract such work.

Name some of your favorite comics/stories on this site:
Punderworld, Blood Stain, Forgotten Sons, Out Of The Blue, HWAJA

Creation Question:

How many active comics/stories do you have?
Just the one. If I can build up a big enough buffer, I have another, much smaller story I'd like to make, but it's not a priority.

What are your favorite genres to write/draw?
Fantasy and Sci-fi. The creative things you can do with the art and character design, not to mention world-building and stories, in those genres are so much fun. I also like romance, because I love drawing fluffy, kissy stuff, though I tend to write romance as a sub-genre.

What part of the creative process do you enjoy the most?
Colouring!

Which part do find the most challenging?
Artistically; sketching, and panel layout. Unsurprising, given I've never made a comic before.
Writing: Plot. I'm great at character interactions, and writing standalone scenes, but I struggle with overarching plot. I'm not bad at it, but it's definitely the hardest part.

Describe and Share your comic/story!
Blue Star Rebellion is a science fantasy story, which follows a drifter who finds himself caught up in the struggle between an oppressive, anti-mage coalition of governments, and a rebellion fighting against those forces. It's full of magic, adventure, and poignant moments. (It's also surprised me by being unexpectedly humorous so far.)

Name some of your favorite comics/stories on this site:
I like this one because it's soo... UwU

I normally don't like angst or anything that can cause me heartbreak (bcoz I'm a coward and I don't like being hurt) but I'm liking this one more than I expected.

This one is a drrr fanfic. I already read and finished the story months ago on ao3. Imagine my surprise when I saw that this one has a comic! This isn't Slice of Life or Comedy. Definitely the odd one out here on my list.

AND THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE SO FAR!

Creation Question:

Describe and Share your comic/story!
Imagine, you are someone who lived a... pretty normal life until you and your family moved to a new place. It's a different environment and you don't know anyone outside of your family. Are you okay with that? Yes? That's nice.

Now, you are a student, and you transferred schools. Cool. Everything is normal... EXCEPT YOUR CLASSMATES WON'T LEAVE YOU ALONE!

That pretty much the summary of my comic.

or you can go here for more episodes

Fantasy (of various subgenres) and sci-fi!

Who/What are some of your inspirations (art/storytelling)?
Terry Pratchett, Steven Erikson, John Gwynne, and even Jim Butcher are all inspirations as a writer

What is your goal as a creator (here)?
Pretty much just to get my work out there and read by people. Not the end of the world if it never gets amazingly popular, just so long as at least one person has read and enjoyed it

Name some of your favorite comics/stories on this site:
Ooh, @ivanskilling (he's already posted here, check his stuff out!) is definitely a favourite as far as novels go and I think I'd pick A Man Called Ravenlord by @oshirockingham as my favourite comic here :3

How many active comics/stories do you have?
One active on and one dormant, biding its time.

What are your favorite genres to write/draw?
(see first question lol)

What part of the creative process do you enjoy the most?
Definitely worldbuilding. I love coming up with cultures, religions, and whatever for the people in my writing and figuring out how they'd all interact and what kind of history led to these developing. Yes, I am a big nerd.

Which part do find the most challenging?
Sometimes the hardest part is actually writing the damn thing, what with my day job and everything else...

I'll just stick with Inheritance because I'm feeling lazy, LOL.

Inheritance is a story I've been working on for at least (I think?) 2-3 years now. I took a lot of inspiration from my biopsych class. There was this fascinating rat study where the experimenters like, made a mama rat clinically depressed (sorry, ratty!) and the babies, as a result, were depressed, too. Anyway, the story is about inheriting awful things from parents, and the determination to overcome those things through a variety of different ways (for many characters, it is spiritual).

It was great fun, cool idea!

What are your favorite genres to read?

Fantasy, Horror, Thriller, Action/Adventure

Who/What are some of your inspirations (art/storytelling)?

Believe it or not my story started as a DBZ fanfiction when I was like 11. It's changed into its own animal at this point. I drew a lot of inspiration from the game Xenogears and manga such as Berserk and Vinland Saga.

What is your goal as a creator (here)?

I just like having a platform to put my work on so that way I can share it with others.

Two. One being my main series that updates on pretty much a monthly basis at the moment, and the other updates daily. They are completely opposite from one another in style, genre and content.

What are your favorite genres to write/draw?

Fantasy, Dark Fantasy.

Storyboarding/sketching for sure, I feel like it consumes so much mental energy to get everything to look how I want it to and it feels satisfying to get it somewhat close to what I had in mind.

Which part do find the most challenging?

Coloring or Linework, I can't really decide. I'm not that great at either at the moment but I'm still rather new to digital art as a medium and hope to improve as I learn how to use the software more.

Fantasy ,Educational, and LGBT.
What part of the creative process do you enjoy the most?
Thumbnailing and sketching for my art, and writing for my YT vids.
Which part do find the most challenging?
Coloring and marketing lol.
Describe and Share your comic/story!
My comic's a fantasy story about an agender merperson and a human becoming friends. I wanted it to have a big message about how racism is bad but I'm white so I'm planning on rewriting it later with more diverse writers and artists.

What are your favorite genres to read?
I don't know if it counts as a genre but I very much prefer comics with LGBTQ characters. Bonus points for polyamorous relationships, relationship anarchy, ambiguous relationships, queerplatonic relationships .. but those get very little to no rep.
I honestly think I enjoy most genres. One thing I really like is when authors play with and subvert tropes, genre conventions and expectations.

Who/What are some of your inspirations (art/storytelling)?
Literally anything. Listening to music, talking to friends, the news, reading about mythology and history, other people's stories ... anything and everything can turn into a story arc. Not all arcs will be used.

What is your goal as a creator (here)?
My comic is pretty niche, so I don't expect it to be big. I just want to find an audience that genuinely enjoys reading and engaging with my story, maybe a comment or two on each episode because those are fun. Nothing major, and I definitely don't have a specific number that I have to reach to feel accomplished.
I also want to just finish the comic. I've never finished a single project of mine, so that'll be a challenge.

Name some of your favorite comics/stories on this site:
Oh dear, so many ... Charity Case1, Cats Café, Café Suada, Out of the Blue,Sparks, The Sweetness of Salt1, Café Demonica (currently on hiatus), Six-Petal Pyramid (also on hiatus but it's so good :sob:), Indigents, Black Key Incubus, Cunning Fire, Lucid Memories, Aquaphobia, Unfamiliar1, Paper Charades, Soultaker, Seemingly Dark, Honey and Venom

How many active comics/stories do you have?
Currently just one, but I have a lot of other projects planned ...

What are your favorite genres to write/draw?
Again, anything really. I'm not really confident with drawing or writing nsfw scenes, but besides that ... anything. I usually make most of my cast LGBTQ though (and many are some form of ENM/poly), and my stories tend to revolve around mental health a lot. I really enjoy slice of life and dramedy, too, and lately a lot of my stories have turned into anti-war stories or at least taken on a strong anti-war tone. I don't mind that.

What part of the creative process do you enjoy the most?
Sketching and shading faces. Oh, and writing (I also have a novel trilogy that I should be working on) when I'm inspired and the words just ... come out and everything kinda flows. So, the opposite of what's happening now as I'm trying and failing to describe it in a poetic way.

Which part do you find the most challenging?
The lineart takes a while ... and then obviously complicated angles and backgrounds ... the bane of my existence.
Oh, and exposition ... :skull::dizzy_face:

Describe and Share your comic/story!
Alright, so. Bear with me, please. My comic. It's, uh ... it's the prequel to a spin-off of my novel trilogy. The novel trilogy is about modern day Heaven and Hell (or, well, the afterlife in general, whose origins and history I've planned out meticulously because this story has existed in my head for 10 years) and political and social shit and war and mental health. Not just in the context of war, but also in the context of war. The spin-off placed famous classical composers in that world and gave them smartphones and Twitter because I'm a huge music nerd and I find that amusing. Then it basically turned into some TV drama in comic form. I'm still working on the plot. The prequel Prelude, which is the comic I'm actually currently working on and uploading before I get to the big stuff, is really just one composer's life after his death. Kind of like a biography, except I made it all up.
And so, in conclusion, it makes perfect sense in context, and it's not random at all.

Creator Questions
What are your favorite genres to read?
I love fantasy, action and romance! But there's a lot of stories out of my usual that I'll read if I'm feeling adventurous.
Who/What are some of your inspirations (art/storytelling)?
It started out as Neopets comics, but rereading them they, uh... Didn't hold up in story, just art. My other art inspirations mostly come from videogame concept art, but as I got back into webcomics, all the artists and the vast world of writing for comics really got me!
What is your goal as a creator (here)?
My pipe dream is being able to life off of comics, but uh, that ad revenue isn't going up any faster. For now, my project is to keep me active in art and always improving, so just having an audience, making friends and being able to inspire others is fine for me!

Which part do find the most challenging?
Inking. Tendinitis and a thick lineart style don't mix.

Splitting Image is a fantasy comic about atonement. A wizard himbo and a former hero team up to stop a villain in their closed-off kingdom, who seems to be copying things from the wizard's Dark Lord days. However, he's still hated by everyone, and these new attacks only complicate things...

My answers:

Creator Questions ((Answer without bold))
What are your favorite genres to read?
I like a bunch of genres, but I guess my favorites would be action, mystery, and horror. I also like romance, comedy, and cute/wholesome stuff.

Who/What are some of your inspirations (art/storytelling)?
I've been inspired by just about every story and artist I've come across. One that inspired me for a long time was Spider-Man. I really loved the idea for the character and I still do, he's just such a cool superhero. I used to daydream a lot about Spider-Man stuff because I wanted to make my own Spider-Man series one day. I've only ever seen Spider-Man movies, but I'd LOVE to read the comics someday. Then I was inspired to start writing my own stories when I read Tui T. Sutherland's "Wings of Fire" novels. Then the most inspiration I've ever gotten was from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The art, storytelling, horror, themes... just... everything about it filled me with ideas. It's one of the most unique stories I've ever read and I wanted to be able to make something along those lines. The one inspiration that specifically got me into making comics is Haley Mewsome (or Lavendertowne) because of her art videos and comic tips. I also love her art, it's really cute. Also more recently, I've been pretty inspired by Attack on Titan. Seeing how far the author came from the beginning of his work to now is super inspiring. It gives me lots of hope for my own stories. (that was long, I just really wanted to talk about it)

What is your goal as a creator (here)?
My goal is to make a career for myself out of making comics. I have a lot of stories and ideas I want to share with people and I have a lot of fun doing it. It's a pretty simple reason, but I just thought about what I'd like to be doing for the rest of my life and this is what I was most comfortable with.

Name some of your favorite comics/stories on this site:
Unfamiliar is the first one I got into (because of Haley Mewsome) so I'll always like that one a lot. I also like Doctor A by AntonioIII and Overload by Mila Nessa. They're smaller creators, but I think their stories are great and have a lot of potentials.

Creation Question:

How many active comics/stories do you have?
Out of the stuff I've actually gone and made... I have a prologue chapter for a Wings of Fire fanfic I was working on. 43 episodes of a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fanfic. 3 episodes of an original web novel called "Ghost Gun" (since deleted and only exists in my google docs). A prototype for a novel series I wanted to make. My current project, Cat Club, my first webcomic. And I'm also trying to make a web novel to upload alongside Cat Club, but that's hard because I don't want it to take away too much attention from Cat Club because I want to actually finish it. Also, all of those series I mentioned are things I planned on finishing but never did, the JoJo fanfic is the closest I've ever gotten. I've got it this time tho!

What are your favorite genres to write/draw?
I like writing and drawing comedy, horror, and action. I feel like those stretch my creativity the most.

What part of the creative process do you enjoy the most?
I really like making the thumbnails for my comic. I don't like scripting very much so I skip that and go straight to the thumbnails. I also really like shading my art...

Which part do find the most challenging?
The most challenging part would be... writing dialogue. I feel like I'm really good at writing dialogue in novels, but in my comic I'm not so sure I'm as good at it. Idk, I'm trying to figure it out still

Describe and Share your comic/story!
A story about a lonely young girl who's never had a friend in her life or anyone she felt cared about her. Until she meets some really nice people with superpowers... but she's still very inexperienced socially. Then scary, funny, and cool stuff happens.
