Land of Tea and Crumpets, AKA England

Hi, manga and anime enthusiast looking for someone who can draw well to join in on a potential long-term series (Probably a dozen or two arcs long minimum). So if you can draw well and are interested in hearing more, let me know.

Basic description below:

Title: Awaken, Lord

Genres: Action, Magic, Fantasy, with some Thriller/Psychological at key points

Lucien Zielenjager is just like any other modern guy going to college, doing the work and trying to avoid trouble. At least that is how it has been up to now. A single event catapults him into the hidden world of magic, gods, mythical creatures and a strange group known only as "The Ninefold council". Along the way to trying to understand this new revelation, he must battle various people and beings, learn to control his powers and uncover the hidden history of his family. So many possible outcomes, so few happy ones. How will his journey proceed?

If any of you can say what the concept sounds like, any feedback is appreciated.

This may be a me thing, but as I am a fairly new writer, I deliberately left chunks between major story points open, so as I improve I can alter the story slightly to make it a better read.

I read a few Sci-Fi comics and I generally feel that as long as you stick to the rules you lay down or have some reasonable semblance of a mechanic to work as a reason for what happens, most people will be fine. Just don't push the boundaries too far or it starts to devolve into ass pull fodder.

If you are an artist looking for a Sci-Fi writer, I may have something for you. Mind if I pm you? I am just a little paranoid I guess, but about two years of working on a story can do that to you.

I just work with being someone is leaving your own mark on the world and lives of others in the way you want to. It is just what sort and size of the mark they leave and if it is the sort they wanted to leave that changes between people.

Okay, I now have people who for some unfathomable reason are interested in the story. Unfortunately this means I am no longer looking for an artist, but good luck and enjoy yourselves.

Hey, random guy from ahem "The Land of Tea and Crumpets, also known as England". To be honest this was the first site I came across and I've had no reason to regret it so far. Genuinely friendly people, site that works well and doesn't kill your eyes and enough oddities hanging around to keep things…

I haven't published anything yet, but I'd guess some time around 17:30-19:30 with everyone out of work and education and needing to relax. This is just a thought given how people are after a long day

Seems interesting. Would you mind if I pm you with general description, the character isn't non-human for the most part, but I do have a work around?

To sum up this entire forum site: Welcome to the madhouse of comic nerds and weebs. Hope you brought plenty of body pillows and merch. Enjoy your stay, the payment for joining is your sanity.

Well, I can't draw that well (actually I couldn't draw a good picture to save my life), but I think that you need to think about whether the visual look is more important or the intensity of the panel is. I've seen some artists swap between colour palettes or black and white to coloured panels or vi…

I would probably glare at the raised stone, swear eternal irritation against whoever put it in and wonder off, albeit with a slight limp.

Huh, seems like an interesting way of thinking about it. The concept for afterlife in the series I'm working on is similar in that there is something, but it's in another dimension style of approach. The concept is that every action you take and word you speak impacts the world around you and leav…

Holy moly, someone is interested, was not expecting this to happen anytime this week, but... Anyway the look I am going for in terms of the main character is fairly tall, lean, light tan with medium length bed hair, and deep gold or bronze coloured eyes. Clothing would be navy jeans, white t-shirt…

Start up a relentless internal monologue of swear words and curses, while people wonder why I have a slightly scary smile on my face. Never was that good at faking facial expressions, so I end up grinning like the Joker for all of about thirty seconds.

Uh this could be awkward but I haven't been able to draw anything for a character, so if you want to could you draw someone of this description? Fairly tall, lean build, light tan, male, pitch black medium length bed hair and deep gold or bronze coloured eyes. Dressed in navy blue jeans, white t-s…

Ok, crippling anxiety ho. Hey, I'm NullVoided and that isn't my real name, but you can't be an international man of mystery if everyone knows your name. Anyway, I have been working on a massive story for the last two years on and off, reaching probably dozen or two+ arcs of content. Basic gist f…

If you have a spare one, I could really use it. I am not getting the story I spent the best part of two years on and off working on nicked out of my head.

Well to be honest here, the only reason the story is as sizeable as it is, comes from lots of reading of other authors works and different mythologies and taking inspiration from them. The main inspiration for me was the Skulduggery Pleasant series, which has a similar base to what I am working towa…

Take it from someone whose default state of being in real life is self-conscious, it isn't fun. Just do the best you can and avoid seeing stuff that is higher quality than yours and say "I can't do this in a million years". I changed my perspective from that summing up my thought process to "Ok then…

This may seem like a weird problem to have with the Shakespearian structure, but it feels too...clear cut or restrictive. I can see why it's a nice structure if you aren't sure on how to structure your work, but if you want a slightly different feel you can try deliberately messing with the structur…

Well, I don't know how you think or work, but I find getting the skeleton for the whole story helps with that confidence issue. I can't draw at all, but by hammering out the key points in the story and their chronology in really high detail, I can feel more comfortable about the first chapter since …

Well feel kind of under qualified after reading the stories everyone has written above. Here goes nothing: Title: Awaken, Lord Genres: Action, Magic, Fantasy, with some Thriller/Psychological at key points Lucien Zielenjager is just like any other modern guy going to college, doing the work an…

This could sound a bit of an odd way of doing it, but, I'm currently working through a dozen or two+ arc story for the events and due to the size I adopted the slightly weird approach of detail the key events, introductions and basic chronology of the skeleton of the story, the basic rules and premi…

Huh, didn't think anyone would be interested. Will check now. Edit: literally just realised you meant Deviant Art, not Discord App. Will look there now.

K, just sent the request. Hear back from you soon.

Hello there, been looking for a artist for a potential long-term series. Relax it won't devolve into smut, the internet will take care of that . Took a quick flick through the deviant art page and it's brilliant detail. I haven't got much in terms of resources, but hear me out on the story and see i…
