Monsoon Cartoons

I love drawing manga and doodling characters from my web comic, Tom and Shelldon.

Depends! I think you can just add that acknowledge chapter into your story and then announce it to subscribers (if you want) and/or you can send a private message to people with the link. The hope is that, by having the acknowledgement and thank you written and then saved/scheduled for a later dat…

I was in a similar situation previously and it needs time (and I'm talking about much more time than a month here) to get over something like that. Working on something else and completely new might help. Other than that: I wouldn't think of it like this. First of all, if that friend blocked …

Inktober day 2 (Mindless) + 31 witches. I'll post them with originals on Insta. My hubby gave me a great idea to redraw my witches from 2016... and I kinda failed the first one [:sweat_01:] [image]

Day 1  I decided to do an ink wash painting of my character Izrekiel from my comic, Whispers of the Past. [image]

the root cause of this is the mass-market writers aren't writing believable villains nowadays. everyone wants to commit a genocide because they hate someone. why? no reason, just hate the designated evil because they're a hater, hate hate hate. it's just...boring. 100% agree with your analysis of …

[image] Inspired by a Brazilian song (Açaí by Djavan), I had fun with the colours but struggled a lot with the anatomy... I liked it in the end tho!

[image] i wanted to draw mateas but not in his robes so i thought, imma put him in mom jeans that arent in the best of condition. i dont think he'd protest having a braid but i do think he'd protest the jeans and say they look like shit hahahaha i made a mistake on the lines by his arm QQ and i ha…

working on stuff for TMFTK [image] (the delivery of this would be equivalent to Arin screaming "BOnus Deal" in the very old 'buy our shirts' ad/skit)

This how my "live" scene looks. As you can see at the bottom I have a card for "stream starting" and "ending" [image] One thing that people use is "studio mode" [image] Where they can edit stuff while seeing what's live. [image] I haven't tested really to see if the things to interact with actua…

Keep in mind that while Twitch totally takes art streamers as an open platform, it wasn't built for art. Much like how Livestream wasn't "built" for art. Picarto was built for art. Free software will be able to connect to any of the three just by using the proper codes and stuff built into the progr…

A good program to use in my opinion is Streamlabs! I haven't done art streams before, but you should be able to set up a "scene" where you can stream exclusively the window of whatever art program you're using and connect your microphone as audio. You can even have background music playing quietly, …

You've heard of Kirb. Well now get ready for..... [image] Rib. (Rip owned by @dragonsparking)

[image] I'm not too sure if I've shown the pumpkin crab and ghost candy corns before XD;;; I really like this idea for halloween. I'm also working on adding some more color to the jellyfish - starting with some purple

I mean, he could be a woman. It's a pretty generic face shape (very common in that manga style, for both young men and women), so if you wanted him to look 100% like a girl all you'd need to do is add some eyelashes/lips and boom. Done. xD But yeah, I think he mostly looks like a guy right now.

He doesn't tho. The second I saw it without reading your line I thought "sketch of a guy with arms in his hair".

I think slipping in someone else's characters could be a fun way to make it seem livelier and include everyone as well. Heck, a novel writer wanted their character involved to be slipped into the background in some of the drawings earlier.

I got to see Hamilton earlier this month and it was fantastic, so I felt behooved to do a bit of fanart. [image]

And when you choose to draw someone's characters with your own, are you only limited to those two parties or is it okay to include another person's character as an extra addition? Might be helpful to include characters that nobody included yet.

@Reign Cool, thanks. Glad it does.

More or less, yes. That's kinda how I envisioned it, at least.

So it's some kind of cycle then?

@Reign Ah, okay. Because I was thinking of having the different characters in multiple crossovers so that it seems a bit more like a party with everyone mingling if that made sense. (I.E. AlliasCOmpany would draw the Seasons and Dragoons Picture, then I could draw something involving my characters…

Personally i'm all for the second one! It also shows both artist's and their character in each other's style and perspective!

@Reign I wasp landing having one guy draw all the characters, though I'm wondering if having one guy draw one event with both characters and the others draw another would be a better idea....
