Tapastic Winter Fest 2015 Dec 10 :: Isaac at Life by @Thefatzombie [image] Reaching the double digits now with day 10! Today's episode is on The Fat Zombie's series Isaac at Life. How will Isaac deliver gift? If you know Isaac he'll do it in the most awkward way he can. haha If you're a fa…
Yay! Hats off to @Thefatzombie for the awesome work on this episode! Really impressed that it got done with such short notice. <3
This seems like a nice idea. I'd be up for that next year!
Haha oh dear, it was really a trip getting this little extra comic done but it was worth it! I'm so greatful to @CyndiFoster and @noxfox for organizing this really awesome collaboration and keeping everyone on task. The funniest part of working on the winterfest comic was being able to draw some o…
Weeeeeeeeeelllll....I do have some ideas kicking around on how to add more people and simplify the collab concept. An event where readers ask Tapastic Santa what they want for Christmas and we divide all the requests up among a big group of volunteer artists and draw their Christmas gifts. It'll …
You're still apart of it, in spirit! XD
I just wanted to say a really really big thanks for all the cameos of my ocs so far. ;w; it means so much to me since I wasn't able to participate in the long run. Also this has been really lovely so far!
Tapastic Winter Fest 2015 Dec 8 :: Haytham by @anakarenina [image] Day 8 and the present is still making it's way around the Winter festival! Today's episode is on Ana Karenina's series Haytham. What will be Annibal's solution to finding the Tapastic mascot and delivering gifts when crowds…
Umm! This is the first time that I work so hard on a collab! haha and it was awesome meeting everyone at the group, they're amazing people, really supportive and tolerant, I'm happy to be in this with you guys!! About the comic, as Haytham's story takes place in a warm island where never snows, I …
It's hard to choose a favorite, but I think my favorite cameo here is Ri.... [image] I can just hear xem saying something like "but MOOOOOM!!", I love it x'D
Yes, a very common feeling of dread when a post doesn't receive the same amount of reciprocated love that you put into making it. My solution is I tend to try to forget about things once they're posted and I'm done advertising it all over social media, I stop thinking about it and start working on…
My routine is horribly sketching a good number of pages in advance and making them available only to close friends who are familiar with my characters, so they'll have an easy time knowing what's going on. At first I don't tell them anything to see if twists, cliffhangers, jokes and so on work as in…
I didn't even think of this one but it's super true for me too! When I post stuff right away there's a lot more expectation of a response, as if I just finished it and put it in front of someone's face and I'm waiting for their reply. Putting space in between creating and posting it helps a lot wi…
I work at a school for disabled children at the moment. It's a lot of fun
@zelkats Me too. I think she was kicked out of the party, but the fact alone that she felt comfortable enough to say that goes to show that their attitude, at least internally in the party, allows that sort of opinion. There's tacit approval from the party leadership.
They're an entire political party that has its roots in literal neo-Nazism. They just wear better suits these days, comb their hair and pretend they know stuff about politics, even though their answer to every problem is "deport immigrants!". Their politicians can't go a week without saying or doi…
The racist party in Swedish parliment, Sverigedemokraterna, make me speechless with their malevolent stupidity at least once a week. :T They're a large part of the reason why I don't have the energy to read the newspaper any more. I'm tired of being angry and sad about the stuff they do, and the stu…
I work at a big-name retail store, making minimum wage with a (business-related) college degree. Comics don't pay bills, but they bring back my soul whenever retail tries to steal it from me.
I'ma (recently promoted!) assistant manager at a local game store! We specialize in retro stuff like all the way back to Atari and such,. It's a pretty fun job, I love my co-workers and the discount is pretty darn sweet too ; P but gosh dang as everyone has said, retail SUCKS. :T
Never actually graduated college because I'd rather not be in debt my entire life! I'm a manager at an art supply store. It's retail, so it sucks most of the time, but I do get to exercise my creativity on occasion and do things like this to our office door: [image] and come up with a theme for ou…
I'm a cook at a senior assisted-living place. Though I can definitely see myself sticking with cooking (especially baking) considering it is a job that offers creative outlet, my real goal is to become a story board artist someday in the future. I don't have big hopes in profiting off my comic just …
I'm a professional illustrator and comic artist, and a part time office-manager/archivist in an accountant's office (which means I mostly sort and archive paperwork).
Immediately out of college I had a job as a line cook at a theme park and it was the actual worst. I wound up quitting in August and have just landed my first art job illustrating a book! Hopefully it leads to more in the future =)
I work as a behaviour interventionist for kids with autism. I don't actually write comics, but I do write reviews and I'd say right now they are just a hobby. My end goal is to work as a behaviour analyst... it's a long path though and there are no guarantees.
I work in retail...where customers try to argue with me almost everyday, some idiot customers, weird customers that sometimes make me uncomfortable and a co-worker I'd love to just punch in the face for two reasons.
Will some of your new readers be disappointed when your oneshot ends and wander away, looking for the work of other creators to read? Yes, most likely. But some of them will stay, and look forward to what else you create. From a reader's perspective, I would much rather see a creator who makes wo…
