I like all kinds of comics, but I'm unfortunately not actively reading that many right now so I have no specific superhero-themed comics to advise you. When I was younger I was sure there were genres that just "weren't for me," but after experimenting in a lot of genres that I 'didn't like' before (…
Promo for an indie pilot! [image]
I have to agree that a small cast isn't a problem as long as that's what benefits your story. Our current updating comic mainly focus on two main characters, although there are others - we don't really follow the others around or explore their backstories too deeply. In this case, it's been more suc…
This is the second page of Chapter 4 and the first page with dialogue - rolling that we're almost already at 100 pages already. [image]
Thanks for this thread a comic-focused fantasy thread makes things less cluttered and easier to discover via the forums, I think. Title: Mal de Ojo Chapter Count: 3 completed, 2 pages of Chapter 4 Update Schedule: Supposed to be every Friday, but sometimes it's a little longer Category: Fantasy/Co…
A little minicomic for a story we're working on, but that probably won't be ready to show for quite awhile. I did this because I have a lot of non plot-relevant ideas that happen that I can throw into minicomics to give people a taste of what the characters are like. the character is a cartoon vil…
This is really exciting to me, but it really makes me wish that us non-premium creators could have at least two categories. It would be extremely useful to us, who promote our content as LGBT+, but who have stories that focus on things other than that (but with LGBT+ mains that generally end in roma…
[image] one of my favorites of my ugly scraps
This is our fantasy/comedy/western/romance/horror comic, with a slow-burn relationship and a lot of action/adventure.

Our next subscriber milestone is 500 (Currently at 485) Our current view milestone is probably...65,000? Currently set at 62.5k
Sounds cool! Here's mine.

The latest page (Page 75) of Mal de Ojo!
We tentatively consider this one a horror/comedy/fantasy/romance/western because they fight a lot of monsters, and even though it's a cartoony setting, the monsters aren't supposed to be funny or cartoonish themselves. Technically, the main monster is a type of witch.
[image] This isn't my LATEST latest drawing, but it's probably my favorite of the several latest.
I made a big 'ol "Promo" Poster for a story I'm working on in an attempt to make it look like a real cartoon. [image]
We've currently got several: both main characters from both comics are trans men. : ) c
I think that sometimes it's interesting to have styles that seem to "clash" with the tone of the story. I don't believe it works in all cases, but there can be a certain charm to creating a more serious story with sillier or cuter characters. It's nice to see a reader invested in the dramatic moment…
I drew this repugnant OC of mine, not currently in any webcomics, but in the stage of planning something with him. [image]
[image] Disgusting and heinous behavior on the part of our "heroes."
Howdy there! We recently hit 400! :''D We're so grateful and delighted. Mal de Ojo is the story of an ex-Sheriff and a wanted criminal teaming up in the Wild West to fight monsters, solve mysteries, and fall in love with each other!
Yeah, in general I have a tendency to do that exact thing, (not distinguishing characters from bg enough), so thank you for that because sometimes it's like, "ah yes, that's right, that's something I have to work on!" Thank you by the way! I'm really happy you like it! Your art style has that "ca…
I'd really love to improve my comic-making and drawing skills, grow my readership, and improve engagement with my comic These things can end up being pretty tough sometimes!
Hey there! I'm also personally influenced by western animation in my work. I use a combination of Paint Tool Sai 2.0 and Photoshop. You can see some of the art I've made with it here: [image] Paint tool Sai 2.0 has a stabilizer that you can activate, which is helpful for me, although it certainl…

Chapter 3 cover for this bad boy:
Many of our stories have unlikely partnerships. One of them has "enemies to lovers." Tropes are fun to work with sometimes.
I guess it highly depends on the character, and in what WAY they are pleasant, unpleasant, etc etc. I usually attempt to focus on communicating something important about the character that I don't want to say out loud, or that I think will be significant for readers to know -- the introduction would…
