Looks great! (Would be cool to include a link, so the comic itself will be easier to find. =) )

Sometimes I think that all we ever do is jumping in a puddle to make myriads of shiny droplets that last only for a couple of moments. And if that is true, the only questions that remain are: how high can you jump today, and are you afraid of getting wet? [image] Primative Stories

Wow. Great line quality! Made directly with brushes, without pencil sketch - am I right?

Thank you! I use really hard 4H pencil and fountain pen right after that, narrowing the idea. So I correct pencil lines without erasing it, and with no eraser involved there's usually no mess. (Sometimes I draw directly with pen, without a pencil. )

Great thread! I love to peek into other people sketchbooks) It's part of my work sketchbook. Usually it's some formal or environmental ideas I'm scribbling down. It's exiting, how you never can tell what those doodles would turn into. (Hope this except isn't too big) [image] [image] …

My series went through some character\ format redesign, and now I'm reintroducing some of the main and supporting characters. Meet the Dog - the most friendly hellhound ever! [image]

Simple answer - no, it's not. But statistically, color can improve the chances. After all, it's a big part of visual communication - color has cultural meaning, feeling, powerful impact on the frame and page composition.

Thank you so much - i'll do it, just wanted to make some improvements. (Also, I thought about to submit stand-alone character - it will take less space on the final picture.)

Cool! I like the Chinese new year theme - all the best things together! =) [image]

To add a link to your comic in your profile would be a good idea =). Also, there's a manual by Tapastic team - http://tapastic.com/episode/147694 . It doesn't help a lot, but can make you somehow noticeable. Beside that, there isn't many ways to advertise comic on Tapastic. "The Moon Is a Harsh Mis…

Primative Stories Stories of consistency Another slice of life Philosophy 101 OMG, it seems like anything is suitable as a name for gag-a-day comic. Even if it's wrong, you can use it ~ironically. =)

1) I was born in a country that does not exist anymore. 2) I've participated in one war and two military operations. And I didn't like it. War is lame. 3) I've started to draw for a first time at the age of 24. Right after that I got myself transferred from engineering to architecture. 4)Th…

Latest page from my gag-a-day ( actually, gag-a-week ) strip. It's about all kinds of topics I like - mostly sf, fantasy and science, but currently I also try to explore my characters - what are they, what would they do in their cartoon lives. For example, if cat would have work, what kind of work w…

If you somehow into ol' good hard-boiled science-fiction/fantasy thing - DISMAS could be just for you. It has astounding art, cool story and great designs, as if it came directly from pages of Heavy Metal magazine. The curious world of Nathan and Joo - romance, fantasy and zombies! And again - gr…

Exactly! I couldn't agree more - any particular comic can get a small amount of attention, but the undrawn comic gets no attention at all.

I think, it's more "If to stop" question, rather than "why continue". I've had the same doubts not a long ago (actually, when introduced my comic here, on Tapastic) and there's the answer I gave myself - Ok, Lizard, you faced the horrible truth - your comic, probably, isn't great. People see it a…

Hello! I would love to get a review for my strip series - "Primative Stories"! (It also have a mirror here, on Tapastic.) Thank you so much!

Experimental page give the story, as I see it, some darker edge, like in "dorohedoro" or Nihei's early works. It looks more interesting/challenging visually and the textures bring good "obsessive" feel to it. It's somehow hard to make a real comparison - cause there's almost no backgrounds in the …

Looks like I'm first in this thread to know Hebrew (I'm from Israel) =) . But my mother tongue is Russian - cause I was born in the Soviet Union.

Same here. Tapastic usually slow at loading comics on weekend evenings.

My comic was actually made to help me cope with fear =). Inspired by "Daily Zoo" project, I started a comic about funny monkeys during my cancer treatment. (As Christopher Titus said - " ...But instead, I choose to be an antidepressant. And you can take me with alcohol." =) ) All the usual worrie…

In my webcomic I use photoshop to color lineart drawn in manga studio (clip studio paint). I isolate the lineart on multiplied (to avoid uncleaned bright pixels) layer, and do all the colors under the lineart. Mostly I color with lasso tool and paint bucket\gradients. For details I use Aufgenommener…

It was black and white. (Thanks for the thread link!)

GenkiHenki - great and very special comic about Japan, it's life and culture. It has a very nice art, and, for a change, takes Japan-themed humour away from anime clichés. DISMAS - Old good hard boiled science fiction, as if it came directly from the pages of Metal Harlant or 2000AD! Astounding d…

I haven't used any print-on-demand services myself (so thank you very much for opening this discussion) but just recently I've got some books from Lulu. I must say, I haven't had seen such a poor printing quality for a long time now. Looks like it was printed on some ancient xerox machine.

Wow. How do you people get time to run so much blogs and networks? O___O My site www.primativecomics.com is tumblr-powered. Originally, it was a temporal solution before moving on to wordpress, but a lack of time (and coding skills) made it quite permanent. =) It's the main place. Also I hav…
