I'm a novelist, and an apprentice of comic author.
I make this comic, Mixto V, about a southern Spanish haunted High School in the 1990s

It happened to me too, with Pirate Kings.

Well, I kind of made (without knowing while I was doing it) a main theme for Mixto V xD HERE

That's nice. I'll sure read it. Would you like some help with Spanish language? We're aware that it is a pain in the ass as a language!

Great, thank you! So I guess I'll start noveling here soon =D

Great! I was waiting for it! But, can we publish in any language?

Mixto V is set in Alcidia, a fictional city in Bay of Cádiz, where some of my novels take place too. To create it, I took things from the cities I grew up, Algeciras and San Fernando, both in Cádiz province.

BEHOLD!! With a strange South-american opening. In Spain we had the French opening (most of '80s and '90s anime came here from France or Italy).

I only watched the series =p But here in Spain, televisions have no respect for series, so, as they always do, only aired a bunch of episodes and nothing more was known about.

Although here in Tapastic I'm still publishing Volume One of Mixto V, in the original publishing site (Spanish only) I'm publishing Volume 3. And here are the covers: Volume 1: A Shadow on the Wall [image] Volume 2: (Smells like) Teen Spirit [image] Volume 3: Secrets and Mysteries [image] An…

Mi webcómic Mixto V está en español de Europa. Tiene rastros de dialecto sureño occidental, aviso stuck_out_tongue My webcomic Mixto V is in European Spanish. It has traces of west-southern dialect, I must warn you stuck_out_tongue [image]

Am I the only one here who misses the languages option?

Well, you don't really need to speak catalan to communicate in Catalonia (unless you meet a really independentist one or so). With Spanish is more than enough. Anyways, Spanish and Catalan are really similar languages.

I'm really interested in the novel thing too. Let's see what happens...

Thank you very much! =) At first I asked my girlfriend (a talented and experienced artist) but back then she was flooded with school projects, so it wasn't possible. Then I decided start drawing myself expecting getting some readers, maybe among them, a better artist (easy) willing to collaborate (n…

Long story short: I write novels since high school, but stopped reading comics a while before. In university I started with comics again, and an old story for a novel about a doomed high school, that I left apart because a thought it were better in comic, rose again in my mind. But stood left apart …

Oh, that's great! I'm a novelist since 14 years old (although I've only published two novels...), so it souds interesting =p

Sí que tiene... =p Y tal.

De hecho, la "x" en lugar de la "j" viene del castellano medieval y renacentista, creo. Como en "Don Quixote".

Bastante. Sí. Tengo que escribir más porque así me lo exige esto.

Hi! Mixto V is a adventure-romantic-fantasy comic set in a Spanish high school in the mid '90s. Like Heartbreak High meets The Goonies. It's also my first comics after years making novels. I've been drawing it for five years and, with tons of learning, Spanish version has reached 300 published pages…

I'm not really a student (I finished my major in Human Sciences loooong ago), but while I'm unemployed, I'm studiying Catalan (I'm Living in Catalonia, but I'm Andalusian, so...) and I hope I can soon enrol myself in Escola Joso Sabadell, a really important comic school here in Spain. Do I count as …

And you do not even need religion for all this! =D

I want to read faithupgrade's answer =p

A couple of months ago something similar happened. It's, like you say, ad revenue and malware. No image is hosted or sold, only listed, for the fans to fall in the trap and the artists giving them more visits when published in rage. It's good to denounce, but the better you can do is waiting for tho…

Sounds nice. Good luck!

¿Te gusta la caldereta? Nice try =)

It can't be rustier than my English xD (No fun, my last English class was in 1999, and Spain is a hostile country with foreing languages =p) Anyway, that's a really nice community most of time, if your Spanish is good enough to ask for help in the forum, you'll sure get some help =)
