I am blessed that my family supports me in what I do. But my advice is that you just do what you love. It doesn't matter if their happy or not as long as you yourself know that you're happy in what you're doing.
I started making a web comic because I want to share the stories and ideas that comes up in my mind. All I can say is that you just do waht you love. If you love drawing and storytelling then you should consider making a webcomic
