I shortened this one comic idea I have, but if I wrote it as like one page a week, it would still take like a year to make a chapter, and I have 48 chapters planned. What do I do?

You could try to shorten your story even more, but in case that´s not possible you can also opt for shortcuts to make drawing the comic faster, so you can maybe finish more than one page per week. (Though also make sure to not overwork yourself!) Since you don´t have money to hire a background art…

For my Slice of Life/ Fantasy Story "Everyday Spirit Struggle" it´s mostly Studio Ghibli Movies with their unique Character Designs (especially for nature spirits), and all the different Fairytales with witches in them that live somewhere hidden in a forest
