Sushiroll

Pushes you off the tree branch Fly little baby bird. (But seriously, I think consistency and fan engagement are important ^^)

Before you start posting, I highly suggest building a buffer of pages. If you have a weekly or monthly update schedule, it can be very stressful trying to finish each new page before the next update, and it doesn't give you any flexibility if you get sick or anything. So my biggest piece of advice…

There's nothing to it but to do it

That’s my goal for the next book, to have it all prescheduled before release, so I don’t have to worry at all, and cut down on anxiety if anyone is reading it or not.

I love the original version of You Are My Sunshine Also great ones..

The script for me was the hardest part. I always spent hours trying to figure out how one character will react to the other based on their personality. My last chapter had me retyping the first scene due to the wording sounding a bit off.

@sushiroll_woofwoof when you go to 'Add episode', it's in the top middle between 'publish' and 'preview'. [image]

This is me! I find that it's better to type up the chapter and re-read it once for the obvious mistakes. Then I go back the next day and edit the small stuff I missed when my brain was overworked after writing for a few hours. Even when I upload it, sometimes I find an extra word that shouldn't have…

No, it's not just you. I try to find errors before publishing, but I always realize I missed some after that. There are people on the forum who are kind enough to point them to me, when I miss some.

The schedule feature on this site in an invaluable tool for me, my stuff is generally scheduled weeks, some of them are now months in advance to give me time to make amendments. I'm so bad at proofreading and so often I work on something and the moment it's complete think 'it's ready', upload it the…

Oh I'm definitely not amazing :see_no_evil: but thanks :see_no_evil:

Same honestly, but I know it'll never be perfect, so I just deal with it and publish anyway. Getting an editor may help!

you're not weird at all as mentioned by @sushiroll_woofwoof (ps love your name)

That actually never happened to me  I normally just write and correct wrong spelling and grammar when I see it, then read over it again. When I copy it from Word to Tapas, I let Grammarly check it and there are a 3-5 mistakes left. Then I publish it. I reread my chapters after two weeks but hardly e…

Happened on my recent episode lol A typo plus I redrew something so the joke makes more sense now.

90% of the time when I edit an episode I've already uploaded it's because I missed some formatting when copying over from word, and the other 10% are spelling/grammar I somehow didn't notice in like 3 rounds of editing

My flow was to write, reread, edit and then two friends went over the chapter before posting and still it was possibe to find a mistake. I mostly fix it after when I see the mistake on tapas, de document I don't. I'm rewriting and there is so much stuff changing that I didn't bother with the fixe…

I found a program called ProWritingAid. I do a ton of corrections but this program makes them pop out automatically for fixes. The free version only works online though.

Oh I totally have that. I work far in advance and sometimes I take some time to reread the chapters I have hoarded. I also give everything one last critical read before I publish

You should paste the link to your story in the entry, could serve you to get better feedback.

Happened with my second chapter... Though I am at least B2 (officially), it isn't my first language, and I tend to use past tense verbs when I already used "did" (did posted, did forgot, did spotted), but I rushed to finish said chapter in a week or two and I even had some blank spaces where color s…

Hi all! I'm chay- a new writer from Wattpad, and migrated to Tapas. I definitely am open to doing read for reads, as I do need to build up my library anyways :joy: . Here's my latest story!

I think the premise sounds really interesting, and I love the cover art! The main character also sounds pretty cool with the martial arts training!

Same, only 5 subs! Hoping for more!

gotta check out your story and sub to help you! here's mine

Not gonna say next year, but it's not gonna be over by summer coz motherfuckers dont know how to keep their asses at home as it is or how to social distance properly. I'm in week 4(officially- unofficially: week 5) & folks are just doing stupid stuff around here. The governor cant even govern right-…

This thread is for novels only, or comics are allowed too?

I don't know how it will end, but it's already a disaster and it look like it's going to get worse. Death count was at 50 000 just recently, and that took five months. Then it rose to 75 000 in a matter of days. That's a 50% increase in a fraction of the time! We're gonna hit millions soon if this d…

I'm in the US which is doing really, really, really badly. Thankfully, in the state I live in though we are doing relatively okay even as the governor has been disappointed in the number of people still not social distancing enough. But we are a small state and close to NYC and the governor here iss…
