Okay, not a 10 year difference between these (it's closer to 4 - 4,5 years), but the jump in quality between Kyara's 1st ever panel vs my most recently completed one is staggering.

I don’t do a lot of redraws so I don’t have much to compare other than the art itself, but even then I think it’s fun to see the style change and improvement over time! I dug up some really ancient stuff from 2011, so a little more than 10 years actually!

My fake cursed pen name is included from that era too lol

I basically stopped drawing between 2010 and 2020, but before that...

This was drawn with pencil and paper and then scanned.

I was moving over to fully digital art (and Tumblr) a year later.

Then nothing for a decade.

Most recently-

Recently I decided to try to relearn how to draw in pen & paper and wow, I forgot it requires an entirely different set of art muscles.

Back then I was far more willing to post up a half-finished idea just to let it die in the crib. Now? Perhaps I'm letting perfect be the enemy of good but I don't want to post anything I can't guarantee I'll finish.

Also- I write more sparse and simplistic dialog now just because people only read comics on smartphone screens and those are pretty shit.
