2018 has been great for me, especially the second half of the year.
I started my first (gag/slice-of-life) comic in June, mainly as a tool to help me practice drawing, comic-ing, and not being totally perfectionist about everything. The difference in quality between the beginning and current episodes is amazing, but I'm actually most proud of the crappiest-looking ones because making those is what taught me the most
I feel I've learned a lot and gained valuable experience from a collaboration comic I've been working on (the same one @DiegoPalacios mentioned, which hopefully will be finished soon)
At the very end of the year and poking a little into 2019 I did a 14-day challenge where I made my first completed one-shot comic, which was also my first actual story-based comic. I learned a huge amount about how to increase my efficiency / workflow from that.
My art outside of comics has also improved a lot. Overall I feel like I've made a tremendous amount of progress in the past year. Looking forward to 2019!
@ZombieOwl it's really cool that you attempted a 24 hour comic, I learned about that only recently and kinda want to try at some point. It wouldn't happen to be among your existing series on Tapas, would it?
