Alright another batch of pseudo-writers, another post complaining about them. That's basically how I'm seeing this thread. This whole conversation is just play rinse repeat now. I'm seeing people talking about what writers and artists should do in collaborations in an attempt to prevent more of this sort of discourse from happening but within this very month I can see this thread being tossed into the loads of other threads of this sort and never being seen again.
I'm just going to stick in here what I said the last time this whole thing was brought up and simply say that we need to work on our own language when we identify the people making these threads. I might not be good at language structure myself, but having asperger's and aspiring to be a writer, I feel that I have a pretty good understanding of just how important it can be to use the right language. Therefore I think we should all be calling these posters "pseudo-writers" instead of "writers" so it is distinguished between the two groups of people and not alienating the writers who actually write, and as a writer I'm getting pretty tired of this lack of structure, and reading through this thread I'm seeing other writers are getting tired of it too.
Proper language is important, if you don't believe me, just ask anyone who makes propaganda or politicians trying to make a new law sound good for the nation they work for, or (surprise surprise) a good writer. Even saying "looking for artist threads" I would consider to be poor language in this post because not all "looking for artist threads" are bad ones. The problem needs to be up front identified basically, rather than this over generalization. I know this might seem off topic or nit picky or whatever, but I feel like it needs to be said and whatever I have to really say about this is already said in here anyways. Plus whatever is said in here is mostly just regurgitated comments I've seen in other posts just like this one.
That said, I think by now there's already plenty of threads that are the exact same as this one, I don't see much point in it other than rewrite this one to call out specifically pseudo-writers and not all writers or people looking for artists. Like sometimes I even see artists looking for other artists on here for example.
Now comes the part where I just reiterate most of what's already been said in here. Or rather I'll just quote a few people in here to save time.
This one in particular I find rather intriguing. If you're an artist and you're asking for a full novel's worth of script from a writer for free, do it your damn self.
this right here is the basic epitome of how I view these threads of moaning and complaining.
@Jenny-Toons
Well see the reason I think they are arguing for writers is because of the threads previously made on this subject, that due to the not very well structured language I mentioned before, would kinda just shit on writers in general instead of just the pseudo-writers, and I think they're getting kind of tired of it. Among other things the timing of this thread being posted not too long after that "writers have it easy" thread is
just deadinside.
I think y'all get the point now.
Reality check: These posts don't actually stop pseudo-writers from posting their "looking for artist" threads so I really do not understand their point of existing in the first place to begin with beyond maybe like one time someone talks about it.
P.S. Sorry if I sound a little harsh or rude or excessively brutally honest or if I ranted or whatever, but I just feel the need to sort of vent a little.
