Unless Tapas is actually required to promote and tip those who have tipping requested...I don't know why we need a a requirement for it. Call me the crazy one here but I thought tipping was a way for "Creators" and "Readers" to support one another. Last time I checked, Tapas wasn't required to do anything. It wasn't like LINE's Patreon Pledge where they are required to assist creators when they reach a certain benchmark and thus, certain requirements might need to be changed to deal with it.
This is especially egregious when people with 20 subs or something can get tipping just because they E-Mailed Tapas on a certain day. Again, unless low number sub people somehow effects Tapas badly (and I again point to this same paragraph of that irony) why do you have this requirement.
Because you know how I honestly see it? The way I think others might even see it? Tapas doesn't care how much money you send them. You can send hundreds of dollars to them to collect coins. More money to them, hell E-Mail them a check for $10,000, they'll take it.
But when you try to earn money yourself, they make that much harder. Send money to get coins, go right a head...but you want to get tipping because a few faithful readers might want to support you. Tough luck, wait for this random Tipping Promotion.
It goes the same with Ad Revenue. It's not surprising to most people that the Ad Revenue System sucks and Tipping was a primary reason for being created because of it. There's already a $25 requirement. That is already questionable to me because I don't understand the need for such a distinctive requirement. Call me ignorant on that but I'm pretty sure your Bank or PayPal doesn't require you to wait until you've reached $25 in your account. Some might have a certain percentage you owe, some might say you owe $1-2 for something.
But that's a little bit beyond the point. The main point is that, I have $9 in Ad Revenue out the $12 I've earned. It's not a lot but that's enough to get a decent meal at McDonalds. However while it seems Tapas is happy to take the fees of the Ads earned, I myself have to wait until I'm 65 years old when I finally get $25 in the Revenue System before I can pull anything out.
And for another argument sake, let's say Tapas doesn't collect those fees until the user makes a deposite...why not change that? There are probably hundreds of users here, sitting at decent sum of money that isn't at $25 who would love to have that money and all that potential ad revenue for Tapas, is literally being wasted away. $9 might not be a lot but there are people I'm sure sitting at a good $15-20 and it has taken years to get here and will take years before they finally get what they needed.
Add in the fact of how obsolete the system is, I feel the best thing to do is to just allow people to collect the money in their virtual vault. It's their money, let them get it since Tapas has already taken the fees and if they haven't...then I guess everyone loses.
Either way, both the Ad Revenue System and Tipping are grossly incompetent in terms of appearance even though it should be very easy to understand.
