Hi there! I'm looking for any advice or tips for a new author.

How do you make a nifty picture link to your story?
Can you go back and edit pictures and things once a story is created?
Any other advice for soneone new to Tapas.

I'm hoping some of the more experienced authors can give tips and tricks for me and other new authors. Thanks!!

Advice for someone new to Tapas - If possible, post daily for awhile and have each episode/chapter be from 800-1300 words in length.

Advice for a new author - Go easy on yourself and have fun. Depending on how new of an author you are, you have a lot to learn and you'll never stop finding ways to improve your craft. Don't be afraid to experiment with different styles. If you have any specific questions about writing, please feel free to ask them as well. These forums are full of very helpful people!

Welcome to Tapas I think you’ll find a lot of good info in this topic from yesterday which includes several links.

After you’ve created your story (double check you like the link extension because if you go back to change it, previous links won’t work) you can copy/paste it here - just make sure the link has /info on the end to show up with the thumbnail or cover picture

Yes, you can change your cover picture, thumbnails, and novel cover as often as you’d like. Just pay attention to the size requirements!

Don't be afraid to ask for help on Tapas. If there is a part of your work that you are struggling with, let someone know. There are a lot of awesome artists on here that are willing to give their feedback. If you don't think you can post daily, use the scheduling feature. This way you can still "post" daily with no pressure.

Oh! And BACK UP YOUR WORK!!! I can not stress this enough. Google docs is amazing because it automatically saves and backs up your work! Don't lose massive chunks of writing because you forgot to save and your computer crashes

Yes!!! If you use Microsoft Office, sign up for a cloud account. Everything saves to the cloud.

You can use pics that can be used as your cover or even your banner.

yes you can' If you made a typo or an error in your novel you can just go through the setting of your novel and edit or make any change you need. The same goes for comics if you draw a new version of the panel and want to replace it's the same as importing it the first time.

If you have multiple episodes stored and backlogged on which program you use, it is best to upload at least once or twice a week. Otherwise your series will stop being notified from the algorithm.

Thanks for the advice, I had been using word pad because I haven't bought office. I didn't know about google docs so now I'm in the process of setting it up and transferring everything over. Again thanks for the tip!
