Agree, Love stories dominate in general(music, literature, movies,blogs). Other than promoting stuff from other genres that doesn't change what gets the most views and what the common market likes. No cooperation can change nor wants to if that makes the most coin.

Trust me alot of the time readers don't wish read outside their comfort zone and genre's like horror and heavy world building fantasy are niche.

Everyone is allowed to complain about it but really nothing can change that fact.

Yeah, romance and BL do really well on the site and has a strong audience so I can imagine that it gets promoted easily just over the sheer amount of views it gets for the website in general.

Well the consensus is actually that it's popular right now. And personally I'm not against it, its just really prevalent right now is all. That doesn't make it good or bad. Besides you should create what you want to create no matter what this thread or anyone says

You should post it Contrary to the popular opinion on this thread, I actually really enjoy the anime-style. I find it easier on my eyes, and it's appealing to me. I really like light novels in general too! They're easier for me to want to get into and read, especially on busy days.

Lol no, it's just the chosen ones who don't like it. I believe something like 80% will be fine with it

Well I have two. The first should be up sometime in June if everything goes smoothly with the cover. As for the second, I still need to figure that out. The plan if things go well is ten episodes, five between the two a month but that's probably a few months off.

I mean, as far as art style goes, I had a friend who fairly mistook some of the BL series in the Mature Section as being drawn by the same artist. ¯l_(ツ)_/¯

Not to get too off topic, but I always thought The Arrival by Shaun Tan was a refreshing comic, a nice visual mix of fantastical and realism/semi-realism.

Well yeah, they have this problem, but it's also the problem for BL covers, they just all look the same with a tall dark dude and small blond dude
