Anime/manga is erased from existence due to a time travel mishap. What does your comic look like now?

Well it wouldn't exist because I was a flaming weeaboo as a young'in. The only reason I started drawing is because my brother got me into the animus/mangos when I was a tiny child.

I wouldn't be making comics at all. I would probably be doing a lot of illustrations and have a couple of illustrated novels on the side, with a dash of fine art.

Young age you have beano, dandy (is it archie in the states?) for little kids along with annuals every christmas (total love!) and in the 90's the gritty re-boot was in full swing! so the adults had a lot of comics to read too but teens? there was a limited western choice in my eyes, manga filled that void and continues to do so. I Think without it, I may of stopped reading for good, not sure. I got bored of superhero comics after I was 10

Having been raised on manga, anime and JRPG, it's bizarre to hear/read about this teenage gap. But since teens spend a lot of time on the internet, I'm hoping webcomics can reach out to that untapped market. Just gotta figure out how.

Manga is what got me into longform comics. Without it, my comic would probably still just be an attempt at a novel.

My art style would probably be more strongly influenced by Tim Burton, lmao :B

Without manga I wouldn't be making comics I would have gotten into fine arts more and I would probably be making contemporary art right now struggling to get into galleries just like some of my friends from college(not like I'm really much different now XD). There is a slim possibility that I still would be making comics but they'd probably look like old 80s tv shows or like rainbow brite. Possibly like invader zim or Kim possible like, but it's more likely I never would have started drawing comics.

I started drawing comics years before I ever read one so my style was pretty well entrenched by the time I finally picked one up. There have been some comic artist influences since then of course but I feel like starting to create first and actually read comics later helped me to establish a style uniquely my own. So for me if manga didn't exist almost nothing would change.

That'd be interesting, well for one thing I think my style would either be vastly different, or still be similar. Different because manga is pretty much all I read when it comes to comics, and it was very influential during my formative years developing a style. But then maybe it'd still be similar since my style doesn't rely too heavily on what you usually see in anime/manga and I am influenced by a handful of western artists as well.

My style would have looked way more western and Soul Ascendance wouldn't even be a thought. It was inspired by so many different animes.

Mine would not exist, because it was manga that got me interested in drawing comics. I've always loved telling stories, though, so instead, I would be writing novels accompanied by illustrations.

I can't help but think on the implications of anime/manga never existing, could you imagine all the cultural, sociological and economical consequences of manga/anime erased from history, not only in Japan but in the world... ok, I'll stop now.

Curse lineage wouldn't exist, although i read things like spiderman and spawn, it was manga that got me interested in making comic so i would be just a reader instead of a creator.

Probably would look very much like Hergé's style since I was only exposed to either manga (Japanese), manhwa(Chinese, Japanese influence) or the classic Franco Belgium stuff...
Probably very little use of frames that look cinematic too

It would end up looking like Mark Millar's "Kickass", most likely. In fact, I would be doing some type of superhero comic, which I was doing when I started drawing in the first place.

I honestly probably wouldn't be making a comic like mine at all, as anime and manga were what got me drawing things other than dogs in the first place lol. If I were to simply remove manga influences from my comic, both my leads would probably be a lot more bori-normal looking, the eyes would probably be smaller, and I imagine the whole thing would be colored in a method other than cell shading, as the artists who originally inspired me to go in that direction were all drawing most of their influence from cell shaded anime, haha.

Truth be told, I wouldn't be here if Anime/manga didn't exist. It's because of anime and manga that I discovered my love and passion for drawing and comics, and it is what made me go into creating my comic since it has a mix of manga and western influences in the drawing.

Since my comic is heavily influenced by the likes of Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Burn-Up W & Dirty Pair Flash that particular story wouldn't exist, but my style would probably pull more from Dan DeCarlo or Bruce Timm since I grew up loving softer animated styles or I probably would be creating comic strips
