I'm going to be honest: I think you just aged out of the bullying and found your people (which is really cool btw). People tend to be more tolerant of other people's tastes as they grow up, or at least learn to pick their battles and don't comment on it.
You also don't have as much of the teenage reflex of "they said they don't like thing I like, that means thing bad, that means me bad", so criticism of what you like doesn't usually hit as hard. Plus adults tend to have a stronger foundation of self-esteem and knowledge of what they like so they have the courage to say "my friends don't like it, but I know I do and I don't need to change that to fit in". Meanwhile teens sometimes will try and change their whole personnality and style to avoid being lonely.
Unfortunately there are still snobs, plenty of bullying for kids being "different" in any way (a kid where I work is getting regularly mocked for liking Naruto more than Spy Family).
The things people get bullied for aren't fundamentally different either: being fat, being of minority race in the area, being or "seeming" gay, gender non-conformity, not liking what other kids like, having no friends, being short, speech impediments, low grades, bad haircuts, being friends with another bullied kid... The list goes on and is tedious as hell.
