Any other creators use traditional PENCIL only?

I use a yellow #2 ticonderoga pencil for most of my comic drawing. I'm looking to sub to others who may use pencil as their media of choice. I do tone my pages in photoshop a little, and may make the leap to color eventually.

I'm really looking to expand my library on Tapas with subs to other traditionally penciled comics. Please link or suggest ones you have found

Also, please share tips on how you might/do color such works, I'm slowly building up to that.

Well, I think pencils are a great medium, however I never got the hang of it so I just switched to ink - easier to scan and print, too =)

I use pencil to draw my comics but then smear charcoal all over it.

seriously this is a longstanding problem, that pencil always seems to look better than ink. and with today's technology, can print out just fine.

Well, all the visuals of my comic are traditionally done, but unfortunately I finish my linework with ink pens as well as doing touch-ups in photoshop. There are traditionally drawn comics I follow, but they all line their work with ink as well. Maybe Zinnia is the right comic for you? It looks to be watercolour with the linework only being pencil, but I can't really tell.

I can't say that they are amazing, but I do draw two of my comics in pencil. (I also shade on photoshop)

Really prefer pencil only, but have found inking makes it easier to scan.

i use traditional pencil and colored pencils for my comic Rocky the rock. I also use stylograph for the black lines. Here`s an example.

you have a few series up, which one is the penciled one? specifically the one from your preview pic?

I'm learning that one of the keys to pencil art is the scanner... has to be good. I'm saving up for a better one, the one I have is alright for pencils, but I've used better.

And I always use a print shop for printing anyway

I use pencil then i ink it but the shadow effects are only pencil , it's a mystery/horror check it out Here , I also subbed to your series cause i loved it !!

Oh! Awesome, thank you! I hope the story is to your taste too. (given how different the genres of our comics are) If you don't mind my penned linework, here are other traditionally drawn (as far as I can tell) comics I read.

I realize the last two seem to have pencil linework... whoops!

ahah, yes, that is just a phone pic. i inked and digitally colored the first few pages of both comics because introductions have to grab, natch. but seeing your comic expressed so well and with such detail is really inspiring, because i actually do love traditional drawing like woah. might enhance with a small inking pen (.005) but otherwise i love seeing the organic lines and natural expressions in sketches. @_@

I have some short comics I drew in pencil, though they're a bit on the old side (and some of them were a bit rushed) so I can't say it's my best artwork.

^first half is all a regular gray pencil (with small amounts of digital coloring), second half was done completely in colored pencil

^the thumbnail of that one was colored digitally but all the pages are done in pencil
