Any Smash Bros. fans? Would you read a Smash Bros. Fan Comic?

Hmm. Im Suprised to hear a vote for Black'n White. :3 I wonder if more people will give their input on this. If so, i could pump out a page a day in B&W xD But with the story being told through a somewhat "silent" or 'gestured' narrative i feel people would want some form of balance or 'make up' for the lack of dialogue through out most the pages. So yeah im suprised to hear it

My favorite Awkward Zombie (non taptastic comic) strips are usually the ones about Smash Bros, and while they tend to be humorous I can't say I wouldn't be up for a serious one.
I think your coloring is so skillful it would be a shame to not use it.

One thing to consider is the Copyright of Nintendo's characters!
You might have to turn the support and advertisement option off to do this series.

Personally I am always more interested in original stories. Maybe you could do the forgotten heroes of Smash bros melee.
The ones that fight after the heroes are gone! Or, even better... the one that clean up after the fight!

Yeah im aware of the while copyright stuff. Its fine to accept donations legally but i will double check, i like Nintendo I wouldn't wanna illegally leech off them in some pety way. Also yeah the Copyright disclaimer/reminder will be at the beginning of every chapter as a foreword ^_^

I wouldn't mind B/W either. I like your colouring style, but I suppose it must take a long time to do.
You could try with a simpler style or colouring too, or using different shades of the same colour, like Game Boy Lands.

I love smash brothers, but I'm actually not a big fan of fan comics, much like I'm not a big fan of fan art. I don't -hate- them and I don't avoid them, but they certainly don't impress me as much as an original title, nor will I actively go looking for fan comics or parody comics. It gives me more of a 'it's a shame this artist is not working on their own stuff" feel I guess.

I feel that way when it's like… a mix. For instance when people make original characters but used an established fictional universe instead of creating their own.

In fact ny comic http://tapastic.com/series/Self was gonna be either about Smash bros or Pokemon but I figured I wanted to tell a story without fear of Ninty's copyright claim so I made a story about a game that doesn't exist..

Anyway, what kind of story will you make?
For example, you could make a "tournament" story with real life characters battling in smash tournies or something like that, I recommend you watch the Smash brothers documentary

I'd totally read that! It could offer so much variety, it's crazy!
A roster of 50 characters, everyone with a personality and style completely different from the other! I see the potentional for some hilarious inter(action) between the characters. Though I dont expect every character to be in for the ride.
That Link you drew looks amazing, though I really wouldn't mind Black/White myself. Abit weird to say that, considering that the universe of Nintendo is so colourfull and beautifull. However, we all know what mario and link looks like allready!

Yeah! xD Those are literally the only storylines i have in mind at the moment. I think they'd work best and appeal to alot more people in the 'competitive scene' that are online. I was thinking of including some parts and tidbits of the story revolving around some 'Real World' tournament players that are well known. Like Leffen, Mew2King, Mango and ect. But of course not entirely. More for like an easter egg since not that many people play competitive anyhow on these forums. haha but yes, Its a great documentary for sure ^^

And with subspace emissary, Would i think be the easiest route since it exists and allow me to Copy Paste the story and pacing...lool But naw. Lately been considering dropping that idea but keeping its story style as well which i loved the most. Gestured and silent ^^

And my final idea is simply making this comic like a Saturday morning Cartoon thing.
where its every issue/episode is a new Story or fight revolving around a different group of characters and occasionally continuing a previous chapter 'arc' so on so forth. :3

I'd definetly enjoy a tournament strucuture waaay more than the other stories, maybe a random character in oír world that plays smash.

Tapastic already has enough gag a day comics, though they are by far the most popular it would be a shame if you go for that IMO because your art looks like it would be cool for fighting scenes.

You could include real people like Leffen or M2K or just make similar/inspired by them charactes, e.g. a very robotic player named M3K or a douchy player named Reffen.. I dunno

But nooo no gaga-a-day. xD Never from me you can count on that. im terrible at comedy. But thanks, the style is simply the game's style which i emulate but put my colors in there. Glad people like it, I've shown this to my friends and they all said it looked 'gross' and 'over saturated ' Im going for a dynamic feel definitely, maybe not so much in my sneak peak but you get the idea ^^
