Whenever I'm drawing or writing I stick my tongue out. Also, when I'm thinking I tend to chew on pencils, idk why I just do. It's either a pencil or anything I'm holding.

I usually make the same expressions as I am drawing or imagining haha

Whenever I draw I usually place my left foot on my right foot. When I really get in the zone I stay fixated on the screen I don't even notice if I blink. When I type on my keyboard i place my feet on the extruded part of my chair where the wheels are underneath.

hahah lol same here, that's why my girlfriend ask me why I'm sad. I'm not sad i'm just mimicking my character's facial expression unconsciously.

Read / act the script out complete with giving the characters their own voice and tones of voices.

Make the same face and gestures as my characters/

Repetitively make the sound effect noise /noises so I can figure out what to type for the stupid sound effect (did this while in hangout once forgetting to mute myself, everyone was very confused, then after I explained what I was doing they were very amused)

Lose that friggen tablet pen in the middle of using it. (also have a tendency of having spasms while drawing with very often result in my winging my pen into my face/eye/mouth)

I tend to move my body in reaction to the scenes I'm writing. For example, if emotions are running high, I plant the ball of my left foot the floor, secure it with my right hell, and then my left knee shakes vigorously.
Also if I'm searching for words to write, my tongue tries to bury itself in my upper molars to the left. Maybe it thinks the words are in my teeth crevices.

When I draw traditional, I often stick out my tongue. Doesn't really happen when I draw digitally, though.

Yeah making facial gestures is a common one. I listen to TV while drawing my stuff xD

1 month later

I draw angry, frown and bark at people who come too close...

I get super focused and start sweating. Not exactly a habit of my own, more like one of my body's.

The deeper concentration, the lower my eyebrows go.
It's like

My boyfriend tells me I tend to blink a lot more when i'm 'in the zone'.

Umm....Alot to be honest....whenever i draw my comic pages....i started to feel energetic and start running around the living room while talking to myself.....Pretty weird right? And everytime i just did a comic....I felt like making a new one and now....just look at my series gallery.....It has too many comic series now....DAMMIT!Idk bro but i also make weird expressions sometimes and yes again talking to myself whenever i make a dialouge.......Sometimes i intended to move my hip to side to side on my chair while drawing.....my parents think my bladder is going to explode but no ofcourse not.

I think I clench my jaw when I write.

I also zone out. If I am into the story I am writing, I am visualizing it as I write. People could talk to me and I don't even hear them sometimes.

YES! I do the same face! This is like the best representation of the face I make, but honestly, I feel like a lot of artists that I see in concentration make this face haha.

Sometimes when I draw my head just tilts to the side, I am aware of it consciously but I don't exactly care unless I'm in public.

i grind my teeth or do improvisational beatboxing (if you can call it that??)

i do the latter while studying, too. makes for an awkward experience when you're my acquaintances or classmates at the university library.

When I get in the drawing zone I rub my tongue against the bottom of my top teeth... I only notice I'm doing it when it starts to hurt. sweat_smile

Noticing a lot of tongue/mouth focus here. I wonder why that is. Any ideas?

That's a good question! I read somewhere that biting your tongue reduces movement; therefore, brain could put more concentration into something else. Not sure how legit it is, but it wasn't that heavy of a research on my part xD
