Anyone here like educational comics?

I draw a comic called Sedna (shameless plug) which teaches about space, dinosaurs, and other science-y stuff. I'm wondering if anyone here is actually interested in educational comics, or if I'm on totally the wrong platform. XD

Also, any creators of educational comics, or comics about science, post them here! I wanna' read them all!

Educational comics are definitely a tiiiny niche on tapas, but I think they can be fun and interesting!

I don't make educational comics myself (at the moment), but I've been slowly reading through Drawing History, which is very informative and fun:

Yes!!! I just subscribed. I love science and work in a scientific field adjacent to rocketry. Love the moon facts, including the one about the cheap flag!

One time I decided to read the original transcripts from various moon missions and they were so interesting and actually very entertaining! The guys joked around a lot more than I thought they would.

Me, I have two humorous comics which respectively have for theme, the comic strip and the process of creation of an intellectual work. I don't know if this is considered educational, but I do and will (because, for now, I published only the first comic) mention of the information I know or learned about the creation. literary, artistic, audiovisual and multimedia work.

The first comic is a series of comic strips called "Only simple Shapes".

The other, which I have not yet started publishing should be called after my nickname, because it is thanks to this comic that I have this nickname.

And on the other hand, when I read your topic, I thought to myself that you could scientifically help me come up with script ideas for a series of comic strips about a scientist who thinks she is a witch. Perhaps ? If you do not mind ?

I think as long at the educational stories are told well, I have no issue with them. Look at hetalia, although it is an extreme comedy, there is actually history in it. It actually gave me an advantage in my US history class (World wars unit), without taking the prerequisite class. (It was an scheduling issue, so i was taking the prerequisite while i was taking the other class, there was a big gap) If you want to teach people 100% do it!

A scientist who thinks she's a witch? What if because she's a scientist she firmly doesn't believe in witches, but whenever she does an experiment she ends up looking like a witch (like blowing up her hair into the shape of a witch hat, or being thrown into the air holding onto a broom, etc.), and it drives her mad. Could be funny.

I was considering stating one related to genetics for educational purposes and also explaining things in a witty manner but for that I'l have to find an artist whose okay with working for free as I cant pay

Oula that's a little too extreme! In fact, I saw more of the experiences that went wrong, and she and those around her would pay the price.

She knows that witches do not exist, it is above all this way of using her scientific knowledge that makes her say that she is like a witch. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong, and will have to revise the premises of my story ?

Otherwise other than that, I like the idea of the improvised hat. 🤣

Besides, it wouldn't be the first time that one of these creations has damaged someone's hair. Since his colleague ends up with a "small" hair problem, from the first episode.

Sorry to have reacted hot, actually I thought about your idea and it may work with a few adjustments. But that would be perfect for a full story, not a comic strip series, right?

That sounds awesome mate. Even if you don't have confidence in your art, you can get away with a really simple art style if you're clever about it. Just look at South Park, or xkcd.
