Are any of you using the social network site, 'TSU'?

I'm just giving it a test run since it also pays out ad revenue and it's basically like facebook...but I want to find more artists over there or people with interesting content to friend/follow. I try and share my WIP sketches.

The site looks neat, but I must admit I'm uncomfortable with the fact that they're not creator-oriented, yet pay people for the content they upload. Sure, their policy says you have to own whatever content you upload, but that might not be common sense for their demographic. People might see it as a FB alternative, and... well, on FB people post whatever the hell they want.

I'm not totally sure I'm following what your concern is.... are you worried about people just stealing content to post it? I'm pretty new to the site and I can see that's happened BUT they're stealing shit off DA and google as opposed to creators actually on Tsu so if you're stuff was gonna get lifted, it's happening whether you're on there or not, which sucks....BUT i have heard they're doing pretty good about not paying people for reposting copyrighted material. We'll see...I would personally just like to connect to more artists from here or elsewhere on there and see if it's a viable option for networking and advertising my Tapastic updates than facebook seems to be.

Yeah, the difference is Tsu unintentionally gives extra motivation to steal. There's a lot of unauthorized reposting on FB/tumblr, but those sites don't pay you for hits.

I agree that it looks to be a MUCH better platform than what FB has become. I just would like to see some proof that they're swift, serious and respectful about handling copyright violations.

Source= a forum when i was first reading about Tsu to see if it was b.s. or not...someone was complaining he didn't get paid by them when he had 'earned' his 20 bucks...turns out it was because he had just been reposting pictures of Naruto or some shit.

I feel ya on the 'encouraging copyright through money infringement thing'....like no one is gonna know is someone steals my shit....a whole lotta art theft going around too on the internet...BUT thats also why I'm trying to get my stuff on Tsu and as many friends as I can so people say...'oh no, that's not yours.' Maybe Tsu won't catch them, but they're get a brow beating from my fanbase which might tip off the people in charge!

@mitzeigreuenshaeden @iestavien make sure you let me know if you sign up! (I think you may have to use a sign up code to get access since it's invite only...not too sure if they still do that, but you can use my screen name as your code if you want... i think that's what i had to do at first. I think it's just 'Skooba' for the code.

I get that - but i mean, it seems like it is mostly other artists/creators on the site, not 'consumers' necessarily... how do you find an audience there?

well, other artists and creators, IMO, tend to be my best consumers as well when it comes to sites like youtube and tapastic....they're the most engaging audience and ones who view/appreciate my work more than say the average fan. That's just been my experience, nothing against the average fan, they're all wonderful whether you can draw a stick figure or not....BUT i seem to get the most views from artists along with shares/likes/ etc etc.
