not that i have anything against the app but aside from my own personal trust issues even my antivirus software doesn't seem to like the app/website so besides the usual social media apps/sites (ie Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) what else is there to use?? :disappointed_relieved:

Yeah, there's line and whatsapp, also telegram on the apps side

If other social media who care about privacy that have a site.... uhhh, i can't think of anything else DX
If you're fine with email though, you can always use protonmail.

What do you want to use the app for exactly? :o As in for personal use, real life business, online chat, or?
And if you really care about privacy it said that most stuffs that's open source have a lot of privacy  Also apps that don't connect to the internet and let you back up the data on your own

Yes, Telegram is counted as one of the safest chats.
Also there is Slack. People are using it widely, talking about work stuff. Sometimes their discussions in it are including trade secrets. So people trust it more or less.

partly for basic chit chat but also for work when needed. im alreadt using insta and twitter but after using discors once for a short while its not something im looking to go back to.

as for appa aomething effective on Android would be nice. and ill take a look through the suggestions so far

Came here to mention slack - however from what I know most of the community just uses discord.

I think gaiaonline is still a thing, idk its been awhile since i last checked

I recommend amino

Tho there isn't an active one for tapas there's a few big one for webtoons

I kept on hearing bad reviews about amino. They always said that the community is an absolute toxic one, bit I never use it so I don't know.

there isn't just one community tho ... its similar to those discord servers.. so it just depends on which room you enter... i've been in some really sweet ones before... tho i did leave some aminos bc they were ... well toxic

Me and my friends have been using Skype for nearly a decade now.
It's still popular in many work places, so they don't have to install another chat app is a bonus.

I've used Slack before also and remember it being decent and having similar basic features, although it's been a while. Similar to how Discord is focused around gamers but is good for anything, Slack is focused around workplace use but is good for anything.

I use Slack and Google Hangouts (which I kinda enjoy quite alot??) but it's not essentially a chatting app. However, you can use it as such and also do phonecalls, videocalls and the like (it's basically like Skype) tho it was pre-installed on my phone xD

I use WhatsApp, discord, fb messenger, line, kakaotalk, WeChat, Instagram, Band, Snapchat, and Twitter. I like WeChat the most but few people I know use it. I love you can have tons of free stickers there haha.
