Are there any Easter Eggs in your comics/ novels?

I have a few easter eggs in my comic Detox but was wondering if anyone else adds easter eggs into their works. If so, what do you add? Here's one of mine:

Used the costume from Donnie Darko and applied it to my character. Thought it would be fun to pay homage to one of series that inspired my comic.

The small town my comic takes place in (Terrapin) and its main street (Shakedown Street) are both named after Grateful Dead songs.

I have many, especially in yet unpublished pages, so I don't think I'll post them now.

Now because a lot are ridiculously obscure or through far-fetched plays on words, I'm thinking if doing an illustrated special with either hints or maybe simply revealing them.

I hide the title of the next chapter in the chapter before!

For example from Chapter One:

The title on her book "Down The Rabbit Hole" is the Chapter Two title, and speaking of the chapter titles each one is a homage to a book, chapter, TV show or movie (basically any form of story telling).

I try and put in as many easter eggs/ hints as I can manage!

I have loads of easter eggs that just serve as extra world-building.

"Angry Office Recreational Pharmacy (2 for 1 cocaine)" - a branch of the protagonist's company in the BG

Blenny's name is written among the doodles of one of the murder victims. He's gay so sadly he would never like her back.

"WANTED: Weaponry Tester. He died. Don't ask how. Enq. within with resume."

Oh and this window on an upcoming shop.

Oh and every single one of my front covers is a massive reference to the band Franz Ferdinand. So are the names of the issues.

Our friend with the YouTube channel got a soda named after him...

Our first comment or got a candy bar named after him.....

We have randomnfun things tucked in stuff

We hinted at the camp arc here

We hunt at loving quarters some where in the factory here

Even this here hints at something important that’s been kinda revealed in the fun 4 you shorts

And this was a bit of a hint of about how many chapters there are

So yeah we put a lot of things in purposefully

my fave easter egg from blunderland is in the new issue 3 ,when i tipped my hat to Alice cooper and put one of my caricatures in the comic.

(this is the old version and not the version that shows in the new issue) but anyhow i have lots and lots of easter eggs in my work/

Heh, I don't have many Easter eggs but I definitely wanted to throw in a weird one.
None of my readers have said they recognized it but I decided to throw in the psychic ice cream selling cactus from Outlaw Star.

In my other comic i just have a few shots that mirror some from Princess Mononke since it's pretty heavily inspired by it.

I just started mine, but I do plan to have a lot of video game references (mostly neopets parody, but I plan to have cameos and jokey references to fandoms once I get into the meat of the story)

I'm not sure how much of an "easter egg" it is but I made the flowers he gives be striped carnations. Which mean rejection. (The confession doesn't go well.)

I also reference/parody different brands a lot, but I figure that's normal haha

I do! I listen to a ton of Metal music so I drop references to songs. One of the biggest shout outs was this. The song "A New Level" is the theme of the dude in the orange shirt. I made a reference to the album art from the LP to which the song belongs.

I have a lot, but one of the most obvious ones is in RomaMates when two of the characters are having a spontaneous dance off. All the music they listen to during that scene is stuff my friends and I have listened to when getting together. I also have cameos from my other story and RavenRose's story (Hers is the cute high school couple that go to Hot Topic on a date.... At least, that's what I like to believe they're doing).

My favorite though, might be how the meaning of flowers are important when they're related to Dewi. He carries around a key-chain with a blue rose on it. Blue roses mean unattainable or impossible love so it makes sense for a guy who has dated around so much, but still had trouble finding someone who would love him back. Being the only one of the roommates to have flowers connected in some way to them, also foreshadows the events of "Alice" when Alice calls him "child of flowers" and .... other things happen (look up Hanahaki disease or read the chapter if you want to know).

The seasons and events in Nimue's Bar correspond with the seasons and holidays in the real world at the time the chapter is published. There's no real reason behind it; it just sort of happened and I rolled with it.

lots of foreshadowing....but the most known easter is finding the hidden spy frog hidden in the different pages.

also, the occasional funny background event and early cameos of future characters.
