I hoping it never was removed! I did hear that the higher ups were talking about doing that around 2024 but I don't know if that was a rumor or not. It wouldnt surprised if they had done it but Im hoping they wont ever....

There were some accounts that posted conservative memes and political stuff which I had blocked. But suddenly they were on my feed despite me not even following them. I guess the accounts were being pushed in the algorithm and overrided people who blocked them. I didn't really follow any politics on Twitter and often unfollowed people who got into political arguments with other people. I didn't like that the direction of the site was just political fighting and being snarky all the time. I do not think seeing that all the time is healthy for anyone's mental health.

Moving on subject. This happened to me on instagram a few times. At least in my experience the more of what you find what you like. For me, funny baby videos and all that. In my very early days of instagram it was a lot of flirty French guys and… you get the idea but I expected that.

Their party platform is not anywhere near the National socialist party or Storm front. It's a disservice to the horrors to lump them(Trump, Elon, and anyone else in the modern US political sphere) in with mass murderers. Doing some background research, I did find this article on Twitter about how they made it possible for blocked users to still see your posts. The labels mean the same thing they always did, and in the cases of the men you mentioned, are being applied very well in line with their definitions. I git some momentum on Bluesky last year, and still post there, but I've never really used Twitter. I just don't like the format, just like I can't stand Pinterest's format.

Invariably, the best SM site to use is the one you consume content on and engage with the most. Unfortunately for SM neanderthals like myself, that means that the answer is usually "none of them."

Frankly, I've been wondering about using Truthsocial (as the inverse Bluesky), just because I bet they don't get much art content like mine. But I haven't been that desperate. But really, I hate having politics next to other interests. There's always too much politics in every SM feed.

Unironically, because a lot of Asian artists I follow are still there and a lot of my friends are active still. My twitter doesn't have politics popping up and it's just either memes and art. A lot of the toxic stuff doesn't appear because I curate my feed on what I want to see and don't.

I mean even if you aren't spending anything from your own wallet the ad impressions still give the companies money. I am also tired of social media in general but just went the opposite direction in that I'm not gonna waste my time on places where the community/algorithm don't want me there. I only ever played the social media game because people told me it gave me "visibility" so even though I hated the layout of ig and twitter I clenched my teeth and tried to make it work. It didn't work. So lately I've just consolidated my efforts towards sites that reward me more for my efforts like tiktok.

Some people made it work and I don't blame them if they find it hard to leave the community. It's like how webtoon doesn't really care that much about creator ux and promoting canvas but most people stay there anyway for the large reader base. Hence I emphasized that everyone has their "thresholds". I know tiktok is sketchy in its own way but has yet to cross my "threshold" so I work with it. At the end of the day, using social media is the same as doing business with someone. If the business owner disrespects me and steals my money, would I still want to do business with them? Well maybe if their product is godly enough (e.g. I have thousands of followers on this account) to make up for all that

the most i've had access to is midi pianos online or in apps and the instruments in sky: children of the light but honestly most of what i've done is just dablling and playing around with what sounds nice

if i did take time to learn i'd probably go for videogame ost stuff like sonic, zelda, hollow knight, undertale etc but being able to put original compositions would be nice. i actually learned how to read music back in a high school class but the info's all but gone since i didn't really keep up with it but i can kind of get the gist of whats what if someone put something in front of me that's like...simple

If I didn't already build a presence on social media I would've just disappeared a long time ago, but because social media is the new norms I've stuck around. Through community interactions I got to know a few people and a few people got to know me. If not for those same 5-10 people interacting with my posts, I wouldn't use any social media websites today.

It's all about knowing where the community is, and communities aren't always your mutuals or who you follow. I'm aware that Twitter has a bot problem but so does any other sites. And real people still use social media, I don't want to treat these sites like sinking ships when they have always been lifeboats from the sinking ship that is our personal lives. I was saddened when so many people I follow went to Threads or Bluesky. In real life, most of us are divided from our friends and families, and now on social media, we are divided from our communities. I am afraid that someday we might become divided from ourselves. Though, I hope that I am wrong.

Until then, I will keep my presence on social media, for people to know I am not going to leave them too.
