As for me, I put 'Nah, I'm good'. I know I'm not conventionally beautiful, and that the majority of people find me ugly, and I can see why. I have this uncanny 'all the features don't fit with each others' look.
But I personally like how I look, and the rare compliments I ever got were great ones. The best I remember was when I was in my late teens and I entered a ancien bookstore, and the owner completely froze, then enthousiastically told me I was a copy of an enigmatic engraving portrait he found in a early 19th century book. He showed me, and yep, that was very like me (although more pretty but even more uncanny looking). I felt so honored, and so amused that either this guy did not think of it, or guessed that I would not be offended, because really that portrait was weird haha. I'm very frustrated I don't remember what book it was in.
