Art styles: which is your goal?

Usually i would draw either in manga style or semi-realistic, but after putting too much stress on myself because i was struggling with "perfection" i started appreciating cartoonish and simple art styles more ^^ probably i'm going to switch for this last one!
And you guys? Which art style do you apply in your webcomic/drawings? What's you art style goal for the future?

Hi @Fennecky, I'm also aiming for a comic/cartoonish style, but unlike you I'm not switching styles, my current style is the best I can do at the moment, and I feel my drawings a bit to stiff still, I need to loosen up a bit, and that will come with practice.

I draw eyes hands and feet very cartoonish since it feels easier and consistent to display certain expressions that way. Also kindof a desparate homage to my happier childhood with art.

I'm happy with my current style! I want to improve, but not necessarily by changing my entire style.
Gaming translation: I'm happy with my current class, but I do want to level up.

Hmm my style is definitely very manga/anime influenced, but in recent years I've started leaning towards adding more of my own flair to my drawings, some of which feel more western/cartoon in nature. My goal for the future is to just keep playing around with that and find the happy medium that works best for me :>

I'd like to lean more towards the realistic end of anime/manga. Away from the typical big eyes and crazy hair, but still a little out there. I think over all style wise Kakegurui's is something I'd quite like to achieve.

My aim is to do the cartoon style all the way with detailed backgrounds. Its hard though because backgrounds require a lot of work.

Manga style and always manga style.

My older manga style is more to the... shoujo style... Since I don't really know much, but I'm working on having a less shoujo-ish and having more normal body proportion and face. Kinda worked for me.

My art style has and probably always will be in the manga/anime category. I just wish to make it better, improve upon the skills I already have. I also try to go for a more unique style that's very much my own, and so far, I'm very happy with how that's been going. I have already had people know exactly who drew a thing before they even see my name, so it looks like I'm going in the right direction.

I’m really trying to shift my entire art style from cartoony-manga-something-you’d-find-on-teen-Instagram into something more realistic and grittier. Something like Wes Craig or Nate Powell’s style is what I’m going for. It’s incredibly frustrating, though, since I can’t actually seem to draw outside of the style I’m used to. Which I hate

I have an anime/manga style... I guess my goal is to reach a point where I can just draw a lot of things without needing references all the time. I feel like every time I want to draw a background or a more interesting pose I have to find a handful of references before I can even attempt the picture. I want to just be able to kinda wing it more while still producing decent quality.

Oh I do have a secondary style... it's like Derpy cute things? I dunno how to explain it, but it's the style i use to draw stuff for my kid in public, it's a front so none of my friends know I can draw IRL XD

everyone says i have an art style that no one has ever seen before tbh. I'm so realist on my backgrounds that my quite realist characters look cartoonish by comparison.
