What is that line or dialogue you wrote that you are most proud of?

Alternative question:

Is the magic in your world sophisticated?

  1. Recently loved the line "The disgusting belching sound of shattered bones piercing flesh echoed across the pier". Made me cringe writing it.

  2. Magic is studied as a science, with formulas, different schools of thought, philosophies and actual material components that need to be processed and treated to work. Recently in the world of my novel a very rudimentary form of Magitech called Scripti is beginning to bloom among the nobles and middle class of large urban centers

Question for you: What's a location you really like from your world? How did you develop it?

Gore is sometimes hard to read... I can't imagine writing, good stuff. Could you please link your novel/comic so I could check it out?

I see, science magic... did you perhaps build the history around it as well?

And for your question:

The chapter I just wrote which is the 0th chapter has this massive sentient bamboo forest. I honestly did not develop it as much as I should have since I focused more on the action and dialogues of the characters.

Thank you for responding, Kuma-san.

Via has a very popular 4 chord string instrument that came from the empire. Some versions have two masts and add 4 more chords with a lower register. It's called Melos

Your question: Are there any peculiar recipes or foodstuff in your story?

The magic system is a part of the story, but I'm more interested in the sociopolitical effects of having a single kingdom with access to magic and how it affected its culture through the years.

Is not exactly gore, just a really graphic description.

This is my novel Centris. I'm currently in a small hiatus because of work, but I'm coming back with a vengeance soon

@jr3indisputable nice hope it inspires something fun

@Kuma nice Melos sounds awesome (enjoy that it sounds like a play on the word melody and melodious).
The additional strings to play lower octaves sound interesting too, guessing those ranges are necessary for their traditional songs too.

Fish and Chips is the most common dish in Heavensea, due to the British ancestry
Other seafood themed foods such as Lobster roll, Clam chowder, Classic Scones also
Black berries, huckleberries are some of the common fruits
Various seafood biscuits and berry biscuits are famous there too

But you need to make a question about Worldbuilding. That's how the thread work.
