It seems like a lot of artists dislike making background art (myself included) so let's share some pieces that we're proud of!
Feel free to share your series too!

Seriously though, your backgrounds are really good I can't find it in myself to bother drawing pretty backgrounds.

I've now made 3D models of most of my spaceships and interior backgrounds, to speed up the sketching process. So I won't share those ones. But here's some earlier stuff!

I use more lineart now, especially for anything man-made, but I love this more painterly style when I have the time to put towards it.

These are gorgeous, the lighting and all of the little details are wonderful!

Forests are such a pain, 30+ pages is impressive. I think I'd go crazy trying to attempt that.

These are all so beautiful! I prefer natural scenes since I can be a little messier with my lines, but for some reason I keep doing city scenes, lol.

if you didn't put volcano in your scentence i wouldn't convince my brain that is a volcano- not a tower-

Lots of layers, different blending modes opacities. I used a transparent brush instead of a normal one.

It was challenging but also really fun to make. I have to admit I'm one of the crazy one's that do like to draw backgrounds It diversifies the process of drawing for me. If it's just characters I tend to get bored sooner or later.

So this background, Destroyer Of Time Management Skills, is my personal pride and tragedy. I got rather carried away with all the tiny details and realized too late that said tiny details would become specs and pixels after condensing it all to standard image size

So uh yeah! All too happy to share some crisper background bits

I love all the backgrounds in this thread, backgrounds can be a pain but they can really add to a page’s appeal! Personally, i’m still proud of this weird, beehive-style crystal cave from my comic.
