For Numb, visual style by Dario Argento, mood in Twin Peaks by David Lynch and films from Satoshi Kon are some stellar influences in my work.

Oh man, I have WAAAAY to many...I couldn't even fit them all into my influence map!

I was mainly inspired by anime because I wanted my story to have a very anime/manga-ish style, but I probably should have put Teen Titans as the first one since that is where my love for storytelling began. Soul Eater taught me as a creator to not be afraid to make something different in your story although I knew it would be nothing that big since Soul Eater had an interesting concept by making people actually turn into weapons.

Within Temptation wasn't the only band that inspired me either, The Birthday Massacre and Nightwish played a big role as well, heck even some of the Native American music I grew up with such as Walela was an inspiration for one of my characters.

When I was in high school Elfen Lied , Vampire Knight, and Ceres Celestial Legend were early inspirations for comic ideas. When I was a freshman I copied Matsuri Hino's style and ohh, those were the dark days, I'm sure glad I snapped out of that!

One of my friends went to an anime convention one day and showed my work to an indie comic author at a booth. They told her that I was really good and that I should really start my own story but that I also need to nurture my own style. So after hearing about that I took her advice and I'm glad I did.

Nice! Satoshi Kon is a huge influence for me as well, both in art style and storytelling.

The largest influences on my work come from a lot of different directions.

The early ones (from when I was a kid) are Nausica of the Valley of the Wind, The Sandman, Monty Python and Twin Peaks. Later on I was into a lot of seinen manga, the biggest influence there being Berserk. Lately I've been very inspired when reading the works of Inio Asano and some of Osamu Tezuka's later output. Ah, and that's not mentioning the music I listen to (lots and lots of metal).

As for specifics, Silver Vein's heaviest influences are the manga Berserk, the music of Swallow the Sun, revenge-action-movies and horror movies in general. The humor parts breaking up the horror at times come from Monty Python, I think. I've always been fascinated with revenge-movies where the "hero" kills tons of people and retains the good guy status. So my original plan for Silver Vein was to make a story like that in a horror/fantasy setting and try to push the "righteous" violence into horror territory and see what happens.

I'm trying to copy Hiro Mashima (of Fairy Tail) process, I wish I can draw manga like Masashi Kishimoto (of Naruto) and just art in general like Kozaki Yusuki (of the Fire Emblem games). As for storytelling I love Hiromu Arakawa (of Fullmetal Alchemist) because she's a kick ass lady.

The biggest influences on Monstrosity are probably One Piece, Berserk, Slam Dunk and the SNES Dragon Quest games!
I don't think they'd be obvious influences to anyone but me, but they've all affected how I approached it in one way or another.

It's really interesting to see other people's influences, there's some cool stuff I'd not seen before!

My biggest influence is the japanese comic artist Junji Ito. I was inspired by his style because I think that is perfect for drawing horror comics.

For The Green-Eyed Sniper, I would say... mostly sci-fi movies with strong female protagonists like the Alien series, and also a bit of Imperator Furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road

for my comic a book for monsters, i drew a lot of influence from the cartoons gravity falls and over the garden wall + studio ghibli films! i don't have any background in animation but i think the style of my comic(very cartoon-y expressions and flat characters w fully rendered backgrounds) is really obviously inspired by those animated influences

I think the biggest influence on Demon King in particular would be ooooold horror films like Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Nosferatu, and Haxan, actual demonology, and pretty standard anime and manga.

Some more general influences on me would some of the works of Brian Jaques (namely Redwall and Castaways of the Flying Dutchman) and old school weird fiction. Oh, and obscure myths and folklore.

Bernie Wrightson is a VERY GOOD influence to have. Dude does some astonishing art.

I suppose the artist whose style that has influenced me the most is definitely Bleach's Kubo Tite. I enjoy and admire a whole bunch of comic book artists , but this artists style is the one that stuck with me the most. I am aware that Bleach has had a significant drop in popularity over the past few years and that people don't like it as much anymore but to me it feels like one of those woks that leaves such impact that no matter what you will always call yourself a fan . The Soul Society arc is still one of my favorite things ever
I'm kind of indecisive about what I want regarding this influence, on one hand I love that readers can easily tell who influenced me, just like fan art and fan comics, it's a way of showing appreciation for those who have inspired me; on the other hand, I kind of want to develop my own signature style...
Would also love to reach Kaoru Mori (A Bride's tale) and Makoto Yukimura (Vinland Saga) level of attention to detail and Yusuke Murata's (One Punch Man) ability of drawing action scenes.

When I started collecting comics in the 90's it was the Incredible Hulk artist Dale Keown who blew me away. It's been my desire to create my own superhero comic based on his phenomenal art. Although I've never reached his level of talent, I'd hope he's there in my style somewhere.

For Crow's Worth, well...seeing how it was originally suppose to be a Naruto parody, I guess there is some Naruto influence. Though my writing style seems to be more influence by American newspaper comics...with my characters sort of look like Peanuts rejects. As for the art style...I honestly don't remember. I think someone once told me to draw the most American looking cartoon character and I liked the style I came up with so I used it.
