Hello guys!
I come back from the darkness with a new project idea i had in mind for a very long time.
At some point i started to think that i really wanted to illustrate a calendar, but i don't have much ideas for it.
First i tried to discover 12 symbols/meanings/signs or things besides months themselves or zodiac signs but couldn't find much...
Then i tried thinking about what each month means to me, but again, block. So i thought about asking other people's opinions as well!
Which could be a nice theme for an illustrated calendar?

Pick 12 fictional characters that you like with different birth months.

maybe characters based on birthstones? or just do something that resonates with you like memories you associate with each month or people's birthdays

Base it around some cool holiday and draw characters accordingly?

You could also pick a prompt list and go from there.

Holidays sure sound nice! This year I tried to make an art for every 24 sekki (solar terms in East Asian lunisolar calendars), I failed much, but I still love the idea a lot. These are not holidays, but maybe will inspire you too.

You can also use holidays from different countries and make multinational calendar, like Russian New Year for January, Mexican Day of the Dead for November, etc

It sounds like a nice way to learn more about different cultures, isn't it :smug_01:

Yep! I love these type of projects, and I think they can easily done well on a forum like this one, because we can find many creators from different countries to give ideas.

For my calendar ....Kanendar, I did the characters dressed kinda seasonal.
