Everything is said in the title. I created a music with LMMS and I would like to have your opinion on it. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zL0VHgXmL6w12

Also, while you're telling me if the sound is playing well.

p.s .: the bass that plays extremely loud to the point of spitting is purposely made, as I'm not yet familiar with my music creation software. And then it sounded good to me.

It sounds pretty cool, think if you add a little more to it with certain instruments and sounds then it will be noice
but who am I kidin I have no clue in the music industry

to be able to do this in the first place is already amazing so good job with that!

I do wonder is it for somethin for idk a comic or for a novel if so than I could dig it but if it is not than thats cool as well

May your Journeys be well

Ah thank you ! In fact I tried to lengthen the duration of the music but the only thing that came out was the little end giggle.

As for the noise, I was so happy to have managed to do something that I preferred to leave like that. But there I had to go a long way.

Otherwise, thank you for taking the time to listen to my music.

And to answer your question: Neither one nor the other! It is just a training, an exercise, in order to practice what I have learned over the last few days on musical creation.

Quelle type de jeux sera t'il? Je crois que c'est excellent pour quelque chose 8 bit. Continue le bon travail.

Well, for a test run of the DAW, I'd say it's pretty good in having a clear direction while being limited with the amount of instruments used. I'd probably change the leading synth for a different sound that's less basic.. But that's more of a personal preference. The dynamic range is pretty flat, just at a constant volume.. That's not bad or anything, it's just an observation. You can learn to manipulate it later on.

Composition-wise, has this ominous, yet dreamy feel to it? It's very chromatic in how you've used the notes, and that's sort of what it tends to sounds like with no chords in the rhythm section. Based off of that, I'd assume you haven't studied music theory all that much? Correct me if I'm wrong lol there's just a lot of unconventional stuff I wouldn't hear from most musicians, it's almost unavoidable for me to hear it and interpret it as that

So... Yeah. All around, it's a good tune for your first time. I'd recommend learning your way around LMMS, and learning basic chords and scales. Both of these will greatly help in allowing you to express yourself even better. You can look up tutorials for both on YouTube. Welcome to the club of music makers, I wish you luck~

Ah, I wasn't necessarily thinking of 8 bit music. It was by mistake and trying that I got this result. But I must also say that these days I have listened to a lot of this style of music.

Thank you for all of your comments. It makes me very happy!

And for @ar-ninetysix

Thank you ! Yeah actually what happened was that I had to struggle to find a way to be able to hear all my musical sequences at the same time to make adjustments if necessary. So I preferred to use the synthesizer for the main beat in the song editor, rather than the beat and bassline editor. And I'm not quite used to the samples / presets from LMMS yet. But if not, maybe it would have been better to play the main beat on drums. If that's the one you're talking to me about? The one that starts from the intro!

Yes, I had watched an introductory video to the software which spoke of an advanced feature that would allow you to modify the sound as the music plays. This is the domain of the FX, is it? And I have already tried playing with the volume of the virtual piano (it's in tones) and with just a few variations in volume, a single pattern can change dramatically.

Wow, ominous and dreamy! It is true ? I didn't think it would give that effect! Maybe I make my music created his feelings subconsciously. Now that you say it, I remember reading that the chromatic scale made the music a little mysterious.

On the other hand, there are indeed chords ... 4 more precisely. But they are not based on a melody, but on the bass line. Because I preferred to start by finding the beat rather than the melody and the chords. Which prevented me in the final from being able to add a melody that goes with the rest of the tracks. Especially since I am not yet comfortable with scales, I do not yet know how to recognize them on the virtual keyboard.

And as I was trying to compose music like that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhBA6ynorvc. I may have inherited the same weird feeling that gives off. Must say that often when I search for music to listen to, I zap (on Youtube) as many times as possible until I come across one out of the ordinary. For example, when it was all the rage, you don't know how many k-pop bands and songs I went through, looked at the debut annunciates of some of them, to find that rare gem. So maybe I don't always favor conventional.

Indeed you are right, I just followed an introduction to creating music with a DAW (Digital Audio Station). Now that I have seen the overall picture, I plan to get into music theory.

Okay!

Thank you!

I'm just gonna say, I'm not familiar with LMMS at all lol I've only been using FL Studio for like 8 years now and some of the technical stuff is going over my head because I don't know exactly what you're referencing xD

But uhhh, my process for making music tends to be chords first, then melody, then rhythm. After all of that, I try fixing everything little by little until it feels close to what I wanna convey. There's also effects and other layers of sound to make the song stand out a little more, but that's closer to production than composing.

That's about everything I have to say lol it seems like you have a pretty good idea of exactly what you want! Again, just learn some music theory and famaliarize yourself with your DAW and everything should turn out fine!

The style isn't my cuppa, but I think it'd be cool to know how to do stuff like that, so kudos on the accomplishment. Of course, I don't know what vibe you were shooting for but it sounded mechanical & halfway through I was thinking of evil robots that needed smashing.
The beginning had me believing my player was balking. I liked it better, esp the little ending bit, when I played it at 2x speed.

Hmm very minimalistic style .
From a fellow music rookie, i say chords are crucial. By adding just a simple chord progression in the middle It could make a big difference!

While listen to it, I think you can add a layer or 2 of triangle/bright sounds to brighten and balance the overall sounding. Just my preference.
