I normally do the traditional style of comics/manga style.I noticed the majority of comics on WEBTOON are in color and in vertical format.

Nothing's preventing you I think (maybe Carciphona was page format at some point, might be remembering it wrong?) but you'll be in the mother of all uphill battles, since the community there is far less kind with those. Tapas is a bit more friendly towards page comics though they're still not as popular.

I also do traditional manga pages on webtoon. I like to think that's the reason why my views there are practically non-existent.:grinning:

It's okay and Webtoons puts the traditional format comics on front page too, but people (and I guess promotion team) definitely prefer scroll.

I don't know about Webtoon since I've barely spent time on there, but I've seen a pretty good mix of vertical and traditional page styles on Tapas so far.

You can publish traditionally-formatted comics there. But from what I've seen so far on Webtoon, it's difficult for me to read fonts on comics that are in traditional format if I were to read on the mobile version. I'm not sure if it's still the same with their app. But the last time I checked their app, it was the same. Desktop version has no problems for me.

The thing that I love about Tapas is that I can zoom in on traditional-style comics on mobile version which is something that Webtoon doesn't have.

I think you can post comics in a traditional format too. I post mine just fine, and I didn't have to do much adapting other than changing the image size and re-doing some speech bubbles.
