Cartoons to live action and vice versa

I have seen a lot of comics/cartoons get turned into live action series and the other way around. Sometimes, it worked beautifully like Ghostbusters, most superheroes and more. It got me thinking and discussing this with friends, if your comic was turned into a TV series, would you want it to be live action or animated? Why or why not?

Me, I actually do picture Jekyll and Hyde as live action though of course Hyde would be a combination of CGI and costumes. Also, Louis would be CGI at times.

For Our Universe, I think either way would work out! Though, I feel it'd thrive more as a movie rather than a show. I do a lot of time skips for the comic itself, because the focus is less on the years they spent together and more on how they spent them. I've seen cosmic works in both live-action and animated, so I think the story would fair well in either form.

For My Demon Valentine, I see it more as a animated special. Mostly because I've kinda see how CGI can have its effect on demons, monsters, and stuff. All I can say is that Adonis would fair better in an animated show if you'd want to understand why Sandra's attracted to him.

Only exception is if I somehow got the same CGI people who did the Predator and Alien franchises. Then maybe.

I am very sick of all the Disney live-action remakes - I wish they would make new original content!

As for my own comic - I think I would probably want it animated. I have a lot of fantasy locations that could be better realized this way.

while i do think that some (as in a few) live action remakes have been okay i still cant stand them and wish Hollywood would leave the animated medium the hell alone to be what it was made to be than turn then in to realistic nightmares. (Disney especially ought to know better imo given they flourished because of animation at the start)

but returning to the main question if i got any of my works adapted it would have to be animated as its how I've conceptualized them from the start. i don't have any issue with live action but when it comes to certain moments in the story or a certain feeling I've felt that animation would convey it best.

there's a snippet from the opening of one of my in-development stories id shared once where the main protagonist has this nightmare of a creature attack and every time I've gone over it i see it using elements of animation to add to the feeling of it. smears to add to the motion, distortion and squash and stretch stuff to really give feel to the scale of both her and the monster and giving sense of it really coming at you in her perspective. you can't really pull that off with live action without it looking absurd or falling into the uncanny valley. but that's just my opinion

Demon House: Probably a cartoon, but preferably in a style different than mine so it could be its own thing.

Heavy Horns: Live action with some good practical makeup for Andreas' horns, maybe a touch of CGI to clean up the effect but not much.

Erie Waters: A stop-motion piece with puppets!!

Sarota Springs: Probably with live action with moderate CGI effects, I do want practical ones too though.

Secunda: Live action with CGI.

For the Amazement Comics universe, if some company decided to create a TV show based off of one or more of our characters, it could probably work as either animated or live action. For The Action Fruit Society in terms of budget, would work better as an animated series. For other characters in Amazement, a live action show could work (or animated works for me). If the day ever occurred when the Amazement franchise becomes successful, I could see a plethora of animated and live action movies, TV shows, and videogames. There are plenty of OC characters that people could fall in love with and explore their story arcs further in other mediums.

I want my comic to be animated. One of the main reasons why I like cartoons usually more than live action is the fact that pictures are drawn to create scenes.

Here's an example of what I mean. Let's say that there is a forest in a scene. I'm more impressed with the background being drawn, rather than a scene being literally filmed in a location.

I don't think my series would work as a live action, it would most likely look really cheesy.

An animation would be cool though.

Hm... Hue are you would be super awesome as an anime... I mean the style is there.

There are almost no humans, so.... yeah it'd be a pain to do "live action". Tho the memories into the bot's various pasts when humans were around? Those being live action bits would be super cool (that's in my head right now because of a comic we just finished in the buffer)

The vast majority of my work would look so stupid in live-action. Like those Disney Channel sitcoms with the terrible CGI effects... ^^;

My comics are heavily anime-inspired, and I have yet to see one of those flashy, over-the-top battles actually work well with real human beings. I think it can be done, but it'd take a lot of meticulous effort/time/money that no one has been interested in investing yet.

I tend to switch between 2D and CGI when "watching" my comics for fun. I'd prefer that all my stuff was 2D animated, but I'm pretty sure that, if the dream were ever to become reality, it'd most likely end up in CGI (since it's cheaper).

If my comic was a one off movie I think it would work as live action because the story focuses a lot on celebrities so it would be funny to have real celebrities in it. But the story goes on a bit so if it was a tv show it would do better animated to keep people's attention

id like my manga to be animated first by the same team who animates naruto or one punch man

then move up to being a movie by the same team who did avengers infinity wars

My old comic Morsel would definitely be a cartoon. Everyone is a talking cat, so it would be cute and fun.

The new one I'm writing, with these characters, would definitely be a fantasy video game

For my comic.. I think either way would work. It's very inspired by anime so of course, I'd love to see it done as one of those. I'd prefer to have it done by the people at Studio Bones (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, My Hero Academia, Mob Psycho 100) or Studio Trigger (Kill La Kill, Little Witch Academia, Gurren Lagann.. sort of lol) because they've made a bunch of my favorite animes so yeah. But a live-action adaptation wouldn't be so bad, I don't think. It does take place in Shibuya, Japan lol there'd have to be CGI for the climactic fight at the end, so on that end.. I'd get the people who worked on the live-action film adaptation of Bleach bc hooooo boy, they actually made that look good for what it was
