i misread this post and now I'm back lol.
B/W is a great way to learn values and spaces. I do my comics in black and white too. Sure it takes less time to theorize what colours look best with each other and stuff and a lot of people find it easier but tbh, it's just as time consuming as colouring when you're doing it thoroughly. your lines will matter more because you can't hide it behind sunset gradients. I say, do it if you really love black and white.
I love manga so i feel more comfortable doing black and white and I think it just suits my overall style and what I want to do for my comics.
there's definitely a charm in seeing nice lines and black cell shading when done right..
but yeah, if you are aiming to get featured, might as well stick with colours.
but then again, not all featured comics are great and sometimes non-featured ones have hundreds of thousands of likes.
