slaps Suen this kid can fit so many character inspirations and references in her.
Okay, jokes aside, I’d say her biggest inspirations character-wise were definitely Usagi Tsukino, Bob from Shadow Over Innsmouth and Ponyo from the movie of the same name. Those are far from the only ones, but they’re the most obvious.
If we’re being honest though, just about any inconsequential detail of hers not meant to just be creepy or an allusion to an obscure deep sea fish is probably a reference to something else, even her being fourteen was chosen to be a little nod to her inspirations, as it’s both a multiple of seven which is important for plot reasons, and the same age as Usagi was at the start of Sailor Moon.

Visually however.. Absolutely none that I can put my finger on, lol.

I haven't actually made any "official illustrations" for my novel (I will make one, eventually), but I like to magine the main female character, Celestine Alcott, looking somewhat similar to Si Mankal, which is a character from the rhythm game I'm currently playing called Gadvia:

Her personality is completely different though. I deliberately made it the opposite of the expected archetype from the appearance.

My two male leads' designs were inspired by Cloud Strife from FF7 and Cesare from "Sister, I'm The Queen In This Life" manhwa

Believe it or not, Daecon:

…was inspired by Goliath from Gargoyles. I wanted him to be more human, but the muscular winged hominid concept came from this dude:

All if the characters in Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days were based on real people. Wild Nights is a true story.

For the Last Train to Gnashville:

Olah and Red were inspired by Ginger and Rocky from Chicken Run

Changed his name just to Red, cause "Rooky" was way too close XD!

As for Friar Chicken, uh...
These mascots...

inspired the Tryon Family:

A character named "Penny dreadful" being inspired by Wednesday makes alot of sense lol. It's a cool name!

Looks like your character inspirations are also artstyle inspirations. Although your style is still very distinct and nice!

Maor - Giovanni (anime movie 'Night on the Galactic Railroad'), Chihiro (anime movie 'Spirited Away' with similar personality)
Amin - Basically from many happy-go-lucky fat male cat characters
Sanariya - Sailor suit Barbra Streisand (singer in her 60's era)

Jen - (couldn't think of anyone... generic kind resourceful neighbor girl with a ponytail?)
Tery - Rotten Robbie, GigaChad (meme)
Bounder - Levi Ackerman (anime 'Attack on Titan')

Sanghee - Konohamaru (‘Naruto’)
Tudo - Franklin (90'-2000's cartoon ‘Franklin')
Sanwi - Baby Sinclair (90's TV-show 'Dinosaurs')

Village Flutist - Kenny G (with shades)

You can check my casts for visual references.

Hah well my comic is about influencers/content creators, and they're all semi-based off real creators/groups of creators (some of which are no longer in public favor) so just a few:

Avery is based of vlog/commentary YouTubers...unfortunately based off David Dobrik and Cody Ko (okay listen the character was written YEARS ago)

Marilyn not based off anyone particular but a general Gen Z beauty influencer

India based off Enya Umanzor (as a kind of indie fashion and internet personality)

Many more but I'll leave it at that...maybe you can try to guess who the characters are based off of as they appear in my comic, Blood Soda !

My main character Luca Vincenzo preference for suits was inspired by Sanji since he is a womanizer as well.

Gustavo Escobar is heavily inspired by Doflamingo in design as well

Marilyn Monroe is not a character but she inspired Mara's hair

Prince Char inspired giving Christopher George a traditionally masculine prince-like appearance

and I'm suspicious that Nick Wild may have subtly inspired me in Chili's design. Maybe a bit of Hobbes from "Calvin and Hobbes" too

Was just saying this in another one, but yeah, my main character and the story was heavily inspired by Batman. It’s my combination of it with my other great love, Fantasy (especially a la Lord of The Rings) and making her Latine like me, for a story that I always wanted to tell ^^

Does anybody else see Megan Follow's Anne of Green Gables?

It wasn't intentional, but i think she might have inspired young Therese

Really depends. Some characters I have a theme for or inspiration.

Hiro Hinmoku
Hiro Hinmoku (blue girl below) I wanted to create a superhero suit out of a mimic/slime creature, but I didn't want it to look like armor. So I went with normal clothes and added a vizor to give it more of hero look plus leaving the face exposed just felt a bit off. It's not a glass vizor it's the slime/mimic substance solidified to form a glass like appearance.

Hair Style was based on Yumi from Code Lyoko

Cyan and Blood Parasite

Blood parasite I tried to give a unique appearance. I thought about his abilities which lead to me adding a ring around the body. As for body structure, since it was made from blood I thought it should look like a slime. I suddenly thought of slugma from pokemon and experimented with the head to give it my own touch. I thought about a cell/bacteria and made those attena from the head to symbolize that.

As for Cyan I was a bit inspired by Yuno from black clover in terms of hairstyle. In my story people have color words for names like Azure, Cyan, etc. So I made him wear blue, but he's also a wizard in training so I gave him wizard clothes of my own design after looking at many different styles.

(Left to Right ) Aniro, Den, Anaga

Aniro's personality is more gentle like gohan, deku, tanjiro, etc. So I associate him with green (those characters are associated with that color) and created combat attire similar to Deku's. All 3 were inspired by scrapped designs of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. I gave Den similar attire to scrapped Sasuke design with my own touches. A lot of rival characters wear blue, like vegeta, sasuke, Killua, Grey from fairytail so I associate Den with the color blue. Anaga I actually just experimented with many random designs. Her clan specializes in waves, so her outfit has rings/stripes to symbolize that. Some female characters are associated with red, like Erza, Sakura, Yoko from Gurren Lagan, etc. So I associate Anaga with the color red in terms of attire.
