Thank you for that tidbit! I think I may actually try that in my next page and see if it looks a lot better. That was actually a criticism I had about it myself and was confused on how to make it look more appealing. I think by looking at how others are doing, I will definitely start to pick up on it! Also I really dig your formatting as well as your colors/design! This comic is very appealing to the eye and I definitely subbed because I want to see the story unfold, plus it looks gorgeous! Thank you for the advice! I will definitely put it to good use. I actually watch Sycra frequently! I will have to say I do actually know quite a bit about anatomy but with this comic, I kinda copped out to make them less human, Ig? I have been toying around drawing these characters in different styles for the past couple months actually. Didn't know if I wanted them to look more realistic with proportions or not but then I started watching lots of Adventure Time and cartoons that don't really follow a lot of anatomy and I was like, I can get behind doing something like that which makes these characters super simple to draw. But I appreciate the feedback, it is something that I will actually work on. I do need help with coloring honestly. That is something I actually considered throwing out because all my life I have been a B&W artist and with the addition of being a new digital artist rather than traditional, I am trying to find something that works for me and makes my workflow smooth. So I would appreciate some more tips because I do work in Photoshop. Also SAI weirdly enough doesn't work with my damn tablet. And I like your coloring and story in your comic, so I already subbed!

Actually Adventure Time follows anatomy pretty well, at least for their humans. It's simplistic and cartoony, but it's very much there. Besides, the thing when it comes to anatomy is that you need to nail the basics before you exaggerate or tweak the anatomy to your own style. it doesn't mean you have to draw it realistically l, just that you understand it.
You may very well know a lot about anatomy and if so that's awesome and makes this a lot easier. I'm just going off of what has been presented and at least with this it doesn't seem to show much concern for anatomy.

Hi Hippiemoe, I like the playfulness of your strip so far. As far as suggestions go, I'd recommend trying to texturize the background colours in some way - unless you're doing exactly what you want with the solid colours, then, by all means, do your thing.

Of course, I'm also here to hawk my wares - The Beard is a long form satirical sci-fi body horror comic about a slacktivist that thinks his beard is trying to communicate with him. It's pretty NSFW, langue-wise and there's a bit of nudity, but no violence, yet. Any eyes/thoughts are always welcome. I write and letter it and conned a talented friend into drawing it.

I have considered many different things to do with backgrounds. I would honestly prefer to simplify it in some way, just not sure how without making it extremely boring looking. There is all sorts of things I would be interested in trying, just not sure what I can do without making the comic inconsistent from page to page. Thank you for looking at it though! Haha the banana mystery shall be solved someday my friend! and I subbed! It has a really nice 90s anime feel to it! This is definitely stuff I grew up on so got me all nostalgic lol.

There might be a way to do a little extra work at first to develop a unique brush tool or something to rely on to give the background colour schemes a unifying agent while also simplifying the process, but not being an artist, I don't have the specific know-how. Great thing about digital comics though - you can always try things out and re-touch earlier scenes later if it feels necessary.

Cant really make a fair judgement of a comic based on 1 page. Theres no way of telling if this is gonna be a good comic or a bad comic.

I all seriousness, its an its start, that xan become a better hook if you sliw down the pace. That page could be 2 or 3 and give us mire time to learn about our protagonist. Also I cant tell if it's supposed to look flat, but if it ain't, try focusing on a light source and using that to dirrect your shadding.

You can make this great if you put your all into it.
