Child-friendly things that you find creepy

I am sort of brainstorming something for a project I might do...

A lot of older teens and adults don't really like clowns. Clowns have been such a staple part of children's entertainment yet they have been sort of fazed out over the last decade due to studies showing that most people do not like them.

And I am wondering if there are things similar to clowns that creep you out. So anything that is designed or marketed to kids that you find creepy.

I am not looking for franchises, I am looking more for general topics or themes. So I don't want to see Boohbah.

Yeah I think is the faces, specially in Jay Jay since his face is skin colored and more realistic is like they turned an actual person into a plane

-LOL OMG dolls. I find them incredibly creepy, due to the big eyed baby-face on top of an adult body.
-Those baby toy unicorns that poo slime. Why would you make something like that? Why are toy companies obsessed with playing with poo?

For my project, I am going to make my own characters. So that is why I asked not to just list franchises.

It's not the franchises, it's the creepy baby faces/ huge teeth/ obsession with poo that I find creepy. Sorry for misunderstanding

Huuuuge suuupercute eyes creep/annoy me out... a while ago I saw a plush in a store with such huge eyes, only the nose and a tiny snout fitted on the head... it was so absurd. And then the cutesy sparcles... omg.

You know those creepy fibreglass models at kids theme parks. They are usually nursery rhyme and fairy tale characters. I’ll see if I can find any to show you what I mean…

Well, most kids are more easily freightned by things.

When I was a kid the scariest nightmare I ever had was the TV suddenly turning off.

Where as now, I literally had dream about getting rabies, and found it strangely relaxing.

You could try childhoods liminal spaces if you’re looking for a good setting. I’ve been in places like the one in these videos when it’s dark, almost empty, with weird smells. It’s always unsettling. It might help with the atmosphere you want.

When I was a kid, I was afraid of pictures. Paintings, photos, you name it. I had a feeling that they were watching me, judging me. If they are realistic, that's double points.

Mirrors, too, stories of it being a parrel universe where doppelgangers live ready to take me.

Dolls, of course. After watching Chucky, I can never look at them the same way.

Public bathrooms. I still don't like them, but I thought someone would murder me there as a kid. It's always so dark and ominous.

I was a very troubled child.
