For anyone interested in this comic, that's great
Me, OpalSpike, and eschaefges have been tossing around a few basic ideas as well as some guidelines that anyone thinking of contributing to this project MUST follow at all times.
The main title of this comic will be Endless Winter
As for the actual plot, it's going to fantasy-ish with slight slice of life elements. There will be two main characters, one male and one female. The male will be a warrior/fighter while the female will mostly be a mage. The plot will also feature an endless winter as the backdrop along with a magical quest. More details will be posted as they come.
Now for the guidelines
Never directly contradict continuity.
You should address or attempt to resolve any cliffhangers from the previous page (no "MEANWHILE BACK AT THE RANCH" cutaways to avoid a sticky situation)
You must add a new element in your page(s) - don't just spin the wheels, but introduce a new character, plot twist, item, mission, villain, event, or crisis to solve. Even slice of life stuff can do this.
Keep it PG-13ish at most. No NSFW material.
While we all love to write our characters into corners, do not "END" the story unless directed by Skopal. No murdering everyone!
Once assigned a page, you have 24 hours to 'accept' the assignment, or reject (family issues, work issues, whatevs), and 6 days (including the 24 hours) to turn in your page
Have fun and be creative.
There will be a contest of sorts that decides the "canon" look for the two main characters. Basically, we're expecting as many artists as possible to submit their ideas for how the characters should look. Once there is a sufficient amount of male and female designs, the second part of the contest will begin in which the community shall vote on which design they like best. The designs with the highest vote count will become the canon designs for the male and female characters. Once this has been established, it will be in the best interest for anyone who contributes to Endless Winter to adhere to the canon designs as much as possible.
You are allowed to retain your art style, just make sure to stick to the canonicity is all we're saying. The theme of this contest shall be practical as the story takes place in a never ending winter locale and it wouldn't be a good idea for say the female character to be running around in cold temperatures wearing a minimal amount of clothing.
When making a new page for Endless Winter, make sure it fits the Tapastic guidelines. Specifically the uploading guidelines as most people will probably be reading this from their phones and thus don't want to squint to be able to read the text for example.
