When it comes to comedy novels, I am a lot tougher than with comics. Comedy novels are my own niche. Whereas I think the horror genre benefits from a lack of illustrations, comedy novels suffer for it. It's not a fair fight.
I don't advertise my own stuff often, so I was a little hard pressed to come up with any Tapas comedy novel to recommend. I've got one.
A DEMON NAMED MIKE by Faeries and Ents is my one pick. There are a few gags in the early chapters which trigger genuine chortles for me, but overall the tone is much more a bemusing and charming sort of comedy. The premise is a very straightforward reversal of expectations. Demons are supposed to be ugly, rude, and corrupt. Mike is naturally beautiful, polite, and naive, so he struggles with his expectations as a demon. Where this series excels is making Mike as likeable to the reader as he is supposed to be as his major character trait.
