...You know, I've suspected this for a long time, but you're the first person to come right out and say it to me, and I appreciate that.
Of course, that doesn't make the situation better. T_T First of all, I cannot anticipate how much of what I actually write will be read, and it shouldn't be my responsibility anyway. If someone decides to respond to MY post, THEY should be the ones who make sure they understand what I asked for. If you just want to talk without caring about what the OP says, start your own thread...
Second of all, I explained what the purpose of this thread was in the second paragraph (the FOURTH line), and reiterated it again at the end. I do that very often, and if you can't even be bothered to read the first or last few sentences of a long post before replying, that really isn't my problem. =/
I've been hearing the word 'professional' tossed around a lot lately...and I think this is where the wires get crossed:
I wasn't aware that the forum was supposed to be a professional place. ._.
Like, plenty of people start goofy topics about random things all the time; I'm one of them. And there was a time where people would criticize me for that (as if I were the only one...) but it blew over because there's nothing in the rules here that demands professionalism at all times.
If that's the kind of forum this is supposed to be, fine. But it has to be explicitly stated and enforced, not just something people bring up when someone speaks at length about something they don't want to hear.
That's the OPPOSITE of what I believe, though...if I thought there was nothing wrong with what I did, why would I start a topic asking for suggestions on how to handle it better?? Did you think the OP was just sarcasm...?
