Comic or Novel?

This is really a preference type of question but what do you prefer, making a comic or writing a novel?

I honestly prefer making a comic, but that's because of the content.
My comic makes me laugh, it's a comedy comic.
My novels are far more varied and serious.

Not sure if anyone here am equally trained at both. General sentiment around here seem to be that writing am easier, but that not my experience.

I prefer comic making all the way because of two factors:

• I just enjoy comics more because I'm all in for the visuals. I enjoy reading and producing comics, so making my story in that format makes me feel fulfilled because I enjoy reading and seeing the pages after I make them.

• I can't write hahahahah I'm a terrible writer seriously. It's partially because I lack a lot of experience in that department, but I don't have a reason to change that Soo... It'll stay that way hahahha (someone wrote a short fic with my main character not so long ago and I was the happiest bean ever c''': <33333)

I like to do both.
I started as a novelist, but unfortunatly, I don't have a good language anymore. My English is still pretty bad, but my French (mother tongue) has become very clunky with time, as I almost don't use it anymore. It's disheartening.
So comics are easier for me, less text to write, and I find comic readers very forgiving with awkward English.

I'd say comic cuz I am bad at writing.

I'd argue painting a picture with words is a much harder job than painting it. and I like the easy way sometimes

Faster output am valid reason, but what about quality? If you create both for the same audience, which do they prefer?

Probably a comic, but if I'm not contracted or getting paid regularly at an even rate, I have to create for myself first and foremost or else I'm gonna burn out and quite creating things all together.

I think my art's not the best anyway. I can't keep up with the shiny, polished webcomics that are always coming out. So I might as well do something that I mildly enjoy without the added pressure of performing well.

Definitely comics.

I've found I prefer writing just the dialogue in scenes more than the prose in-between. Plus I think of myself as more visual-minded.

I can't draw so I have no choice but to write, but hey I enjoy that to.

I like to make comics because I enjoy drawing and I tend to work in genres where the visual spectacle is a core part of the work, like action, or where the panels can be used to do visual gags and timing for comedy.

I don't think writing is "easier" but it does take less time, so sometimes I do feel like "aaah I should write a novel", but it does have that downside that it's much easier to build an audience with comics due to the visual element.

I absolutely adore writing novels, even though I am an artist as well. I've actually have both lying around (my comic is on hold actually as I am working on my novel first) but I can express myself much more freely when I write novels. English isn't my first language, and I love learning new words and write works that can release so much creativity. Well for me at least haha.

I prefer making comics, I never felt like I got the hang of writing prose. But then again, I never took a creative writing class, and my English classes only taught writing research papers. Even then, my teachers said I wasn't even good at doing that. I do wish I could write, I do have an idea that would work better as an novel. I feel like if I had a writing coach or co-writer, I would be more open to making novels.

I prefer making comics because the fun in it for me is drawing my characters and showing others what I see in my head. But there is something nostalgic about writing novels that reminds me of the creative writing class I took when I was in high school. I don't think I'm particularly good at it, but it's definitely enjoyable!

It's a post apocalypse story where everyone covers their faces in with gas masks so you can't really tell everyone apart. Most of the dialog would be internal. It would be ver awkward for a comic because most of the characters would look the same.

I also have other ideas which are a bit too dark for my cartoony style.
