Comic reading on Patreon

Hi guys,
tbh this has been on my mind for a while and I'm curious how others 'fix' or work around this.

Reading comics on patreon is kinda impossible? x,x
I seperate my chapters with tags, but patreon will always show the latest page of that chapter which makes it really hard to read.

How do you go around that issue? O:

The way I read a comic on Patreon a while back was that the creator put a link to the next page in the description box. Maybe you can tag the first page of the chapter so people can find it easily then link the next page in the description??
There are sooo many issues with the way patreon displays content, I really wish they'd fix it...

Yeah, I haven't found a great way to do this either. All my comics are separated by tags and after a chapter is completed I'll post a pdf of the whole thing. Not perfect by a long shot

Yea this was difficult. ill tell you what I did but not everyone can do it. what I did was create a website and I post it there. the website has a lock so when I make new updates, I create an image with passwords on it for my readers to go check it out from there. I also put a link in the description box so it works out. I know not everyone is knowledgable to build websites but thank God I do so it works out that way for me.

tags wouldn't be such a problem if there was an option to view the oldest page first. And just read from up to down. But as it is now, you click on a tag for (example) chapter 3, and are instantly presented with the final page and have to scroll down to view the very 1st, it's inconvienient and spoilers will be smashed in your face as you do this O.o

After some thinking I've spend a couple of hours to upload chapters in Imgur albums, and made patreon posts linking to each chapter. I don't know if it's a perfect solution but it's something I guess x.x

OMG I know what you mean and its a total pain in the A** and thats why I created a website and locked it and only post passwords with each update. I don't understand why Patreon hasn't found a better solution for this. its nerve wrecking

right xD I've mailed patreon about this a while ago though. They said they understand it's inconvienient and they'll think about a solution, I think it's been at least a year ago though x.x

They will think about a solution? what kind of Fu*kery is that? I mean, there is a very large fan base of comic artist and they will think about it? I'm shocked by their response. wow. thats just silly. well at least you tried by reaching out. its all up to them at this point but it would be in their best interest to assist us.

I don't think they'll some up with a solution though as it's been so long since I reached out. I don't know anything about web design and stuff but... an option to make the oldest post appear 1st in a tag folder can't be that hard? I dunno x.x

yea I see your point. that will help a lot to make the oldest post appear first. its funny how they send out all these useless emails of how they have implemented change and when you check it out its no different than the old one. they are changing stupid things like color and position of text and stuff. all useless things. but then the real change they are meant to add is not an option? i'm very disappointed. one thing that gets to me the most is when they send out the random stupid pop up box that says "how can we make Patreon better". even after all that, nothing good has come of that..

I was wondering how others did this as well :\ I didn't even know that Patreon was "thinking about it". I wonder if there'll be an implementation in the near future. I myself link the next page in the description box, but I was thinking of adding some sort of archive in my Patreon description (separating them in pages of 5 or 10 or something because I have over 300 pages now). But yeah, @Tanako had a good option, I think, though it requires a little more effort for the reader. I hope someone else here can come up with another good solution ^^'

i think i know someone who did smth like having a google doc the patrons had access to that would be regularly updated with the current chapter, which could a decent solution.
