1k is certainly a healthy writing pace to have. There are days where I accidentally go slightly above 1.5k but that's only if the story is doing really well and I'm enjoying it a lot. But usually, it's even hard to get to 1.5k. Oh and I go at 50k mainly because I write light novel type stories where its just something to quickly sit down and enjoy. (It's a Japanese origin format btw)

I am 5000 away from my goal. A couple 'responsible adult' errands took away a little bit of my writing time, but I'm still trying to get there!!

Guys, this is a really low bar here, but yesterday I actually opened my word document. If I can write even 500 words today, I will have achieved my goal.

(Don't mind me, just crawling out of my hiatus depression )

That's great news!

I aim to write around 400 words a day and edit any work that has been done previously. Generally wrote 200 in the morning and an additional 200 in the evening and if I manage to do more then thats a bonus for me!

You know, one of the fitness principles that helped me for years and years was that idea of 'I'll just go and stand on the treadmill' which is exactly what you are doing, and that's awesome. It means that you are not disengaged from your story!

I am excited to start writing today, because I am into the last 2 chapters of Act I, when the fantastic/sci-fi element gets introduced and the premise gets lore-dump-- ahem, explained to my sweet Werewolf-to-be. And his "what you want" for Act 2 becomes clear.

On the downside, I will have to describe the Team, and I always dislike writing those intro scenes when a lot of people have to come on board. I am cheating a little, introducing three of the characters a little earlier in 'quick glance way'. But I still have three more to round out the research team. Ouch.

But, I will keep Assassin Creed (modern day portions) close to my heart and go for it.

Got my updates ready last night so I'm stress free for the week. But a few of my friends are doing cross-promo stuff on Wattpad and here so getting all of that together. Then I'm gonna make a cover for my NaNo project.

There's not enough time to do it through the week so it's either prep on the weekends or there won't be any updates.

That’s my goal for the next book, to have it all prescheduled before release, so I don’t have to worry at all, and cut down on anxiety if anyone is reading it or not.

I write 500 words today. I dunno, the Goddess of Procrastination is currently beside me, so... yeah
but, I just release my new novel on Tapas today, so need to write more:sleeping:

yeah its a good feeling! I have 22 chapters written now and 6 of those are edited and Scheduled. the rest yet needs to be put on there

Are y'all doing NaNo projects on top of your regular stuff? I never got really into NaNo but I think it's so cool that some people are able to do a full novel in a month.

I thought about being a rebel and revising an older half-baked draft from 38K to 50K, but I want to work on my WIP to finish it over October-December at my own pace.

I also have a book on writing emotional feed coming from the library, plus Firm by Grisham I wanted to read as a classic example of the mafia and the lawyer book, because I want the antagonist in the sequel to Trapped by the Mafia to be a mafia lawyer...

Not to mention, I have worldbuilding to do if I decide on another project.

Anyway, in short, I want to keep working, but slower, slower, slower, not faster!
